Because our tour guide had such amazing knowledge, and interesting aspects to point out of both the city and things of cultural, and historical importance, it was a thoroughly interesting, entertaining walk around the city. We booked a Reykjavik Folklore Walking tour with Your Friend in Reykjavik this past Christmas holiday. Although it was very windy and cold, we had such a great time on our walking tour through Reykjavik! Our guide was so knowledgeable and shared so many wonderful stories with us about places in the city that we would have otherwise not noticed. I would highly recommend you book a tour with them; you will not be disappointed!

Greatest “catwalk“ in the world :)

Fantastic tour experience! Bardi was our guide, he made this experience so special and personal for us. Meeting his cat friends in different spots of Reykjavik was great, and we enjoyed listening to facts, fun facts and anecdotes on Iceland and its cats 😸 Highlight was when Bardi invited us to his home to meet his 3 fluffy cat friends. Thanks a lot! :)

History, tradition, and great food

Wonderful tour. Stefan guided us around the city showcasing its culture, traditions, history and - most importantly - its food. He was well informed, friendly, and open. I would highly recommend this tour, and Stefan in particular

Nice to learn the history

The guide was informative, however, she appeared to talk like she had a script in her head. She was funny but at times she appeared to be more about the performance than connectivity with her tourists. She was very nice but did not give us directions to get back to hotel or meeting place and said goodbye to us in the store We thought the walk was from 3-6 but she said it was just 2 hrs We were happy for that as we stood out in the very cold weather and were freezing

It is a great tour! We booked the tour for our first day in Reykjavik and we got a tour around all the important places plus recommendations and history and a few funny stories from our great tour guide Stefan I.! Absolutely recommended!

We had a great tour with Ester E recently in Reykjavik! We went on the Food Lovers Tour and discovered some gems around the city. The tour lasted approximately 2.5 hrs and the food was lovely. Water was a fantastic tour guide - you’ll be lucky to get her as your guide as she is so knowledgeable about the city and Iceland in general and very willing to answer any of your questions about Icelandic life. We’d definitely recommend this to other visitors.

Great folklore tour!

Our family loves folklore and enjoyed the stories and history about Iceland. Even though the weather was horrible (very windy and snowing), and we couldn't visit all the places in person, the guide did a good job of telling us the stories and sharing Iceland's vivid history.

One of the best food experiences we've been on

Our guide, Oli, was fantastic. We enjoyed the meals/food at every stop. Easy walking and fun to learn the background to the food and how to eat fermented shark! Highly recommend.

Best city tour!

We love cats and we're so excited to find this tour! Our tour guide, Bardi, was phenomenal! He shared all the stories about Iceland relating to cats and other interesting folklore. We met some of Reykjavik's famous cats (Djonsy, Baktus, Ofelia) and even got to meet his own adorable cats. A highlight was a visit to the Cat Cafe with delicious cocoa and treat, while meeting a few more cats. Highly recommend this tour!

Bardi knew every cat and where they lived or visited. He is passionate about cats. He has some wonderful stories and is willing to listen to you about your cats and for you to show him photos of your cats. Well worth the money. Bardi was lovely and friendly. It’s a must when in Reykjavík. 5 stars

Fun way to explore and taste Reykjavik! We've had a great afternoon with Bo at the Reykjavik Food Walk.
