Super fun experience led by our guide Olafur. The food was a nice mix of traditional Icelandic food. Glad I tried the shark although cannot say I enjoyed it.

Stefan was my introduction to Reykjavik, Iceland! He was interesting and moved the food tour along. I enjoyed learning about the Icelandic culture, stress free environment of raising animals with its impact on how that lends to delicate meat, foods and the preparation thereof along with fermented shark! I learned about lamb and a unique way of smoking foods with “donkey dung”. The lamb and salmon tartare was delicious. The Icelandic Hot Dog made with homemade condiments was also a special treat. Then onward to the lamb soup which was delish! Overall, Stefan was courteous, respectful and humorous! I would highly recommend Stefan and the walking food tour!! Cathy

This is a very good tour of Reykjavik spiced up with dark tales of elves, trolls and hidden Icelanders. You even get taught how to set up a spell.

Simply fantastic
Incredible, in large part due to our guide. He was so knowledgeable and personal able. Absolutely hilarious and gave us a ton of additional information about Iceland, Nordic countries, languages, and cultures. I learned so much and loved it. The food was fantastic and I've made notes for a return trip. Especially enjoyed the trip to the candy shop. Our guide taught us the correct way to eat fermented shark and it turns out to be a perfectly fine dish. I highly recommend even if you aren't an adventurous food person (I'm not).

Perfect start to a trip
We did this first thing on our first full day. I cannot recommend doing so enough! Got great insight into the city and it's history and got oriented to where everything is. Made the rest of the trip much easier since we had a sense of direction after the tour. Also gave us a change to learn things we wouldn't otherwise have thought about. Our guide, Oli was fantastic, very easy to understand, and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Reykjavik for any period of time.

Ein Muss für alle Katzenliebhaber und mal eine etwas andere Stadtführung als sonst! Unser Guide Bardi hat viele kleine Anekdoten zu den Katzen in Reykjavík und deren Geschichte erzählt. Durch die kleine Gruppengröße war die Tour auch sehr individuell und beim Besuch im Katzencafé konnte man sich so auch gut unterhalten und Katzenfotos austauschen 😊 Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man in Reykjavík ist!
