Hrafn was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about Iceland and Reykjavík. It was a throughly enjoyable tour. What a beautiful city/country!

My wife and I came to Reykjavik for our honeymoon and we booked this group for three separate tours. Einar took us around town showing us the best spots to see the famous local cats and their favorite hangouts, as well Icelandic cat lore. Bo took us around town to all the local foodie spots, where we were able to sample local and traditional fare. He also told us tricks on how best to enjoy some of the signature local food choices. Stefan I. took us around Reykjavik telling us about Elves and Trolls on the folklore tour. He was extremely entertaining and enthusiastic with his storytelling. If you can, ask for him. We will absolutely be coming back to Reykjavik and will certainly hook another tour with them!

Had a fantastic time visiting the city of Reykjavik. Our guide Einar had plenty of interesting stories to tell and gave a very interesting insight into the history of Iceland. We loved hearing about the fables of old. Also got some great advice on how to make a new pair of trousers!

Best tour for cat lovers!! 😺
We were super excited to see a cat tour!! The people of Reykjavik love their cats and they even get invited as guests to big events! Our guide, Einar, is a cat lover and it was fun to share in our love for our furry friends!! If you love cats it's a must!!

Local fuzzy inhabitants made for a lovely afternoon
We unfortunately had rain (pack your rain coats!) but we enjoyed a walk around to various hotels and shops downtown where the local cats are communal - they are well loved and cared for by many people. They have their own favorite stores they hang out in, and even their own favorite blankets and spots. Some shops even have cat doors! We got to meet, and pet, many of the cats, while also learning about the relationship and respect the locals have for animals here in Iceland. Many of the cats have their own facebook groups / fan clubs and often have a variety of names they are known by. We had a fun stop over out of the rain in the cat cafe with some coco, cookies, and of course cats which had been found that were not chipped and a result come there to reside. As a bonus we even got to feed some swans and ducks, who are treated well by the locals so much so that they will eat bread gently from your hand! We circled back to buy some yarn and things later from shops which were recommended to us by our guide, and wished we knew there was a hotel where the cat randomly shows up in guest rooms before booking, next time!

Great way to get to know Reykjavik!!
My husband is a huge foodie so this was right up his alley!! Our guide, Bo, knew all about the history of their cuisine and how to best enjoy certain foods. My faves were the lamb soup at Icelandic Street Food and the street corner hotdog stand lamb hotdogs definitely deserve the hype you hear!!

Absolutely loved this tour!! If you're a fan of cultural lore this is a must! Our guide, Stefan I., was the best! You could tell he loves the folklore of Iceland and being able to share it with visitors. If you can I'd asked for him specifically!

Best walking tour ever!
Tom took myself and another solo traveller on a lovely walk through Reykjavik providing a great mix of history, culture and interesting facts mixed with genuine family history going back many generations. Tom was casual and easy to talk to and made it more of a conversation rather than a delivered speech which was really appreciated. There was also some magic and wonder in his stories I totally loved and they still have me intrigued. I left loving Iceland and Tom was part of that ❤️

Excellent tour of the city and tasty food
Highly recommend this tour. It gives you a taste of many traditional foods while hearing the story behind it. In addition, you walk throughout the main part of the city and hear all the history. It's two tours in one. Don't worry, there is a stop at the famous hot dog stand. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

We went out on a walking food tour with Frank which was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the food, the culture of Reykjavík & some history. It was nice to visit different places to try the different Icelandic traditional foods - we loved the lamb soup & the sweet mustard on the hotdogs, the fermented shark not so much! Would recommend this as a good way to get to know the city & the specialities.

Right Amount of Time and Information
Perfect overview of the city, its’ rich history from architecture to why things are where they are! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and moved at our pace, while having great responses to our questions! Highly recommend it over a large group tour where you’re trying to hear the guide and not getting to ask questions. 10 plus!!

This was an incredible experience which I booked for my partners birthday. Palli had just the two of us and took us to all the great restaurants explaining everything. Great afternoon mixed with history and general conversation with a very interesting guide. Great value for money .

We did 3 tours with Your Friend in Reykjavik. They were all with different tour guides and each was fantastic. We did (1) Reykjavik Folklore Walking Tour: Meet the Elves, Trolls & Ghosts of Iceland (2) The Reykjavik Cat Walking Tour (3) Private Icelandic Sweet Tooth Tour I highly recommend each one. They are all walking tours with medium hill inclines at points. Keeping up was not an issue.

Fun introduction to Reykjavik
Took my kids to Reykjavik for spring break this year and booked the Walk with a Viking tour as an overview of the city when we first arrived. It was cold and windy, but our guide was fantastic. As he told us: if you don’t like the weather here, wait five minutes! The tour was engaging for me and for my kids (12 & 14). We learned a lot about the history of the city, got a good idea of where everything was located, and got some good tips on other places to visit while there. We would highly recommend!
