Wonderful guide made our last day special
Sven-Bjorn ("Bo") showed us parts of Iceland we had never imagined: charming neighborhoods and gardens, volcanic landscapes and towns, incredible cliffs and oceanside walks. He was so knowledgeable, pointing out stories, facts, and pop culture trivia as we went. We had no idea there was so much to see just a few miles from the airport. We thank Sven-Bjorn for the fun and educational experience, and for his safe driving. Thanks also to Your Friend in Reykjavik for the gift of Icelandic recipes when we arrived home.

We loved having Olí as our tour guide in Reykjavik! He was very knowledgeable and had many stories to tell, but even more importantly was kind and patient with our large group’s many schenanigans (college orchestra tour). Definitely would recommend to all my friends and family who are traveling to Iceland!

Take $127.00 and sample local food on your own!
The experience was very disappointing. A hot dog, standing up to eat is not my idea of $127.00 tour. Less walking and talking...more food variety. No local beer sample, just a shot of some horrible liquor. 30 minutes tasting jelly was also a letdown.

Great Guide, Great Overview of Reykjavik!
We really enjoyed our walking tour with Einar. It was a great option for our first day in Reykjavik because we got an excellent overview of the layout of the city, its history, and its offerings. Einar was knowledgeable, personable, and friendly, and the two hours seemed to fly by because the tour was so interesting. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Reykjavik.

Did the Reykjavik Food Lovers tour with Stefan. It was a fun way to learn about traditional food in Iceland and a fun way to walk around the city with awesome people. All the food we had was excellent. Also did the Icelandic Story teller experience with Palli and I learned a lot about the settlement and sagas in a cozy tavern. Both guides were informative, funny, and kind, both with lots of knowledge. And next time I am in Iceland, I will definitely sign up for another tour with Your Friend in Reykjavik. I could not recommend either experiences higher.

Our food tour of Reykjavik was a fantastic way to get to know the city, the history of Iceland, and of course, the food! Our guide, Stefan, was a great host filled with knowledge and a great sense of humor. We can’t recommend this tour enough!

A growing city w/ lots of history!
We had just flown into town & the tour gave us a great overview of the history of the Reykjavík city and we even a taste test of licorice & some locally made jams. Great tour!

Frank was a great guide...
Frank was a great guide and we learned a lot about the history of Reykjavík as well as had a number of great conversations. We were disappointed that we did not get to try the lamb soup or have a drink at the end of the tour as the itinerary listed. I would recommend that you ask questions regarding the tour before you choose it. I feel that because of those misses it was overpriced.

This was a really interesting walk. Our guide, Berni, kept us entertained throughout with stories and sights. A great two hours covering history and tales, and a great way to see Reykjavík.

You’ll get more than a...
You’ll get more than a fair share of a variety of Icelandic foods. Everything was delicious and unique. Our tour guide Pauli did an excellent job explaining the dishes and beverages. He also shared many incredible stories about his life as a lifelong Icelander. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat.
