Kudos to YFIR for putting together a wonderful Food Lovers (walking) Tour of Reykjavik. We had such a wonderful time. Einar was an amazing guide and provided us with so much insightful information. The tour was just the right amount of time, and we appreciated tasting different foods from various local restaurants and shops. Highly recommend booking a tour with this company if you want a little structure during your time in Reykjavik.

Get the three hour tour of Reykjavik city instead of this.
The tour overlaps with a lot of other tours. We went pretty much the same locations and our tour guide talked about the same things as the previous (much better) three hour tour we went on.

A good learning opportunity
Very nice and informative guide. We saw lots of neighborhoods in central Reykjavík. We cannot say that we love all Icelandic foods but it was an enriching experience.

As interesting as it was to try local delicacies and common food, we had the same dishes that were better prepared outside of Reykjavik. The Sea Baron was great and LeCock was comical. Some of the history provided by the guide was interesting and he answered questions well. He was very unaware of his surroundings and did things like block alleyways in restaurants when the group tried to pass. He was rather monotone, however had the ability to generate the group conversations. He should be aware of others’ feelings towards issues like Pride and not push them after asking once to pose on the rainbow street for pictures. The tour was lovely to meet other travellers from across the planet and close to home 😉

Food Lovers Tour - Icelandic Traditional Food
Informative, entertaining guide, excellent food. The guide was very professional as well as most of the staff at the places where we stopped to eat. Not suitable for children or anyone disabled. Mostly the food was brought to us by servers. But at the last place, we were required to get our food on a tray and carry it up steep steps to the upper level. Children or anyone with mobility or strength issues could not have done this.

Our Guide Einar told us some fascinating stories and marveled us with his great knowledge and beautyful songs. My Highlight was the enchanting cemetery with lots of trees.

Palli was a fantastic guide. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and showed us more than just restaurants. In fact an extra stop at the library to show us the painting lending program was a highlight. Would definitely recommend!

Our guide Einar was very informative and well versed in Icelandic history. The tour moved at a good pace. Einar is also a great singer. I'd recommend this tour, because one can easily miss important things by just walking by an not noticing what's right in front of you. Many great tidbits of information are hidden in plain site. Thanks for the good times and the memories.

Exceptional tour.
It's an amazing tour. Lots of local knowledge and experience with a few antidotes thrown in. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining. The perfect pace and encompassed all we wanted to learn about this amazing town.
