Awesome Reykjavik tour
First-timer to Iceland, flew over from the US. The walking tour was an excellent way to get a good introduction of Reykjavik, a modern/big city in Iceland. And it was great to stretch "airplane" legs after a long flight from the US. Our tour guide was excellent and actually took pics. of our group at several prominent stops - and provided the pictures taken to us for free! This is a hard deal to find in the US, usually you have to pay extra to obtain any pictures taken. I highly recommend this tour/this touring company if you are visiting Reykjavik!

My spouse and I recently traveled to Reykjavik to begin a cruise, but had some time in the city before boarding the boat. We scheduled the "Sweettooth" tour with Your Friend in Reykjavik and it was an excellent use of our extra time! Our guide (Magnus) was very knowledgeable and presented information on Icelandic history, culture, as well as sweets - which were the higlight of the tour. We tried cakes, breads, candies, and ice cream, all of which were delicious (and included in the tour fee). I teach university-level geography and like to bring in candy from around the world for my students, and this tour gave me some awesome ideas to try for my next semester. We highly recommend the Sweettooth tour and Your Friend in Reykjavik overall! Thanks for making our time in Iceland so sweet!

A delightful and unique way to explore Reykjavik! Our guide, Stephan I, was full of enthusiasm and charm, sharing his love for the city’s feline residents. We met Bactus, a friendly shop cat who clearly runs the place, and later enjoyed a relaxing drink at the cozy cat café, surrounded by lounging cats. The tour ended with a heartwarming visit to an elderly cat in a knitted jumper, living in another shop — an unforgettable sight. Stephan's knowledge and affection for these local legends made the tour feel personal and special. A must-do for cat lovers and anyone looking to experience Reykjavik's quirky, cuddly side!

Come Hungry, Leave Happy!
Our tour and guide, Pauli, was so much fun! The tastings were varied: langoustine soup, lamb tartare, cured salmon, the famous hot dog, and a lamb or tomato soup. We finished the tour with tasting a few sweet licorice treats. The walk between stops allowed us time to digest our food while listening to Pauli's running commentary about Iceland.

Amazing tour with Gudni around Reykjavik!
We would give this tour 10 stars if we could! Gudni was an EXCELLENT tour guide and showed us so much of Reykjavik and gave us so many insights into the life of Icelanders. He took us to so many different places in the city and in the countryside. This tour was FABULOUS. Gudni went over and above to make this a truly memorable experience!

Amazing experience and introduction to Iceland's culture and history. We did the Walk with Viking tour and it was fantastic. Our tour guide Eva was so much fun and we learned so much from her about Reykjavik and the history of Iceland. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to explore Reykjavik and learn a little bit along the way.

Better Icelandic Food Exists
This tour misses the mark. Our guide was delightful. A giant retired fisherman. However, after spending time here in Reykjavik, I believe the traditional foods we tried are better in other locations.

I did the Reykjavík Cat Walk with Stefan I and it was such a fun experience! We saw so many cute cats and learned about their history and culture around the city. It was also nice to have the cat cafe included in the tour! Stefan was super friendly and knows the city super well. He added in some extra info about street art, important buildings and sites, local lore, etc. Highly recommend!

We Have a Friend in Reykjavík!
Oli is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history and plant life of Iceland. In addition to the impressive sights on the Golden Circle, he was flexible and adapted the schedule to fit our interests. We recommend stopping at a farm for ice cream and eating lunch at the tomato farm! He was prompt and professional. We liked him so much we used him the next day for a 2 hour tour of Reykjavík.

Great way for cat lovers to see the city
Barði was an excellent guide for our Cats of Reykjavik walking tour, and a genuine cat lover. He was very knowledgeable about cats and the history of the city, sharing many facts and entertaining and funny stories. He took us around to meet several of the city’s famous cats, along the way telling stories, and showing us landmarks and favorite shops and restaurants. We then spent a little time at the city’s cat cafe, enjoying some hot chocolate and cookies as we took a welcome break from walking and made some furry new friends. After a few more short stops, the tour concluded at Barði’s home where we met his three very sweet and friendly cats. This tour is an excellent way for cat lovers to get out and see the city in a unique way. Highly recommended!

An Unforgettable Experience – A Must-Do in Reykjavik!
An Unforgettable Experience – A Must-Do in Reykjavik! The Walk with a Viking tour was one of the highlights of my time in Reykjavik! From the very start, our guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also warm, engaging, and full of fascinating stories that brought Iceland’s rich history and culture to life. Walking through the charming streets of Reykjavik while learning about Viking heritage, local legends, and hidden gems made the experience feel both personal and immersive. The guide’s passion for Icelandic history was contagious, and their sense of humor made the tour both educational and entertaining. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to go beyond the guidebooks and gain a deeper understanding of the city from a local’s perspective. Highly recommended – you won’t regret it!

Great food tour!
I enjoyed this food tour with all the different local food tastings. It was also great to learn about the city as we walked from place to place. The walking up the hill is hard for somebody who has ambulatory issues.(just keep in mind.)

Personal and unique
A very unique and personal tour introducing visitors to the city’s many cat personalities. The cat cafe was a nice stop along the way and gave us a chance to get to know the guide and his cats better. Before we were taken to his yard to meet his cats in person. This tour is a must for all cat lovers!

A nice city center orientation walkabout.
It was what we expected based on the description–a 2-hr. walkabout the old city center. The guide pointed out significant places, and shared some history and some cultural info. A young guide, he was very friendly, but I'm also thinking he will pick up deeper and broader knowledge of things as he goes.
