Our guide - Paul - was excellent company and brought Reykjavik to life for us in an easy, moderately paced walking and food tour. He's also the most Icelandic looking man I've ever seen! Whole family had a great time - thoroughly recommend.

Einar was great at keeping everyone engaged, even my easily bored 12 & 14 year olds. Hearing about a countries thru the lens of food is so much more interesting than a typical tour

Experience unique Icelandic foods with an excellent guide
Exceeded expectations - tour was excellent and guide was knowledgeable and entertaining! Good detailed instructions on where to meet tour. Guide made the tour - not only did he keep us entertained with local lore and stories about the Icelandic culture and history of the food - he also shared quite a bit about Nordic history and answered all questions attentively. The food was plentiful and there was no need for dinner after the tour. A few surprises along the way that I don't want to spoil for others, but definitely worth it and have recommended to friends.

Mathias was very knowledgeable and charming. He gladly asked any questions we had, made us laugh and took a picture of my boyfriend and I together at the elven stone. I would highly recommend him as your tour guide!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the walking food tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. We sampled traditional Icelandic cuisine, all of it was interesting, some of it was delicious, and some, well, it was an experience!

Entertaining stories!
Our tour guide was fun & funny, as well as a good storyteller. I really enjoyed learning about trolls and elves, and we got to see an elf stone.

4 months later and I'm still thinking about this tour
It's been four months, and I finally came back to write this review. That's how much I loved this tour. Our guide was super nice, and a bit quirky (IYKYK - cat people). The people who show up on this tour are also typically cat lovers - which makes it more fun. I got to pet a ton of cats and get some coffee with plant based milk. If you love cats and cat history - totally should check this out.

Hygge in Horror
I would recommend Mathias as your tour guide for the walking tour of elves, trolls and ghosts. Not only was he very knowledgeable on the subject but else showed us parts of Reykjavík we would not have otherwise seen.

Good way to try traditional foods
We got a mini tour of the city & its history in between visits to several restaurants. It was like a progressive dinner...we had fish with tomato sauce and rye bread, fish and lamb soup, the famous hotdogs, and another fish dish, followed by the fermented shark & a shot of the black death drink, then skyr. I was stuffed at the end of the tour. The fermented shark wasn't as bad as I imagined, and while my husband detected the ammonia taste, I did not. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable about the history of many of the buildings, so it was interesting to learn while we ate!

Wonderful tour of the Golden Circle.
Iceland is amazing. On this tour, I think we hit 9 different sites, having multiple excellent culinary experiences along the way. Now that I'm home, I've stocked my fridge with Icelandic Skyr because of this trip. Our guide (Adrian) was outstanding, keeping everything on track so we could see the sites, learn the history, learn how Skyr was made, learn about the geology, etc. Fabulous experience!

A great way to see some of Iceland!
There is so much to see and do in Iceland. We wanted to squeeze as much as we could into a 5 day, 4 night long weekend trip. We took full advantage of 3 "Your Friend in Reykhavik" tours. All were excellent. The South Coast tour took us from the sea to hiking on a glaciar to standing under a waterfall. Our tour guide/driver Adrian made sure the entire trip stayed comfortable and on track. He was a wealth of information on all aspects of Iceland. It was fabulous.

Fun intro to Reykjavik with cats.
Our guide was delightful. He shared colorful stories and tidbits about Reykjavik. We didn't get to see many kitties as they were sheltering from the cold at home instead of the storefronts, but the kitties at the cat cafe covered the lack. Thank you for a memorable experience on our first trip to Iceland.

Great cat tour with lots of feline friends
We really enjoyed this walk around the city visiting cat themed places and learning more about the city. We saw (and petted) quite a few of the famous residents. We also had hot chocolate with them! Our guide, Stefan I was friendly and knowledgeable.

Paul was an excellent guide and told us much about Reykjavik and Iceland. As he's a retired fisherman, we also learned alot about fish. Tried many authentic Iceland dishes. So glad we did! Wonderful experience and would highly recommend!
