Short walking history tour
Gardar was amazing! We only spent one day in Reykjavík and spent it learning the history of Iceland with Gardar. Excellent opportunity for short trips. Highly recommend!

I was blown away by this tour! Whilst we stopped and enjoyed some truly scrumptious food the breadth of knowledge of our guide was incredible, and her storytelling skills unparalleled. We discussed the food of course, but food is part of a countries culture so it flowed easily into interesting conversations about all aspects of Icelandic life. Although I am a solo travel I found the group bonded fast and we became firm friends :) Big shout out to Ester E, our fantastic guide :)

Cute cats and a beautiful city
This tour was so much fun. Our guide was Stefan I. and he was so friendly. Our family of 4 was the only group that had signed up/showed up, and I was a little worried he'd be put out, but in a way it was like getting a personal tour of Reykjavik. He was very friendly with our kids (one of whom is a huge cat lover) and also pointed out other unique aspects of the city (like the little toys vandals stick to signs). In addition to all the cute street and shop cats we got to see, we walked to Parliament Square and ended at Hallgrimskirkja. But of course the highlight was the kitties! We saw several very cute cats, and most were quite happy to get some pats (one was sleeping behind the counter and wanted to be left alone). Sadly we did not get to see the legendary Baktus as he was sleeping in a back room but we still get to see lots of cute cats. We also stopped at a cat cafe for hot drinks and some cookies. We really only got to see one cat there (one was on a very high perch, and two were hiding under the couch and not interested in socializing, and it was a bit crowded when we went) but she was a sweetheart. Our kids were really missing our cats during our vacation so this was a nice way to fill the gap a little, and a unique way to see the city!

I had an awesome time on the cat walking tour around Reykjavik! My guide was fabulous, he pointed out all the cats around town and told us their stories. He also added a lot of other information about the city and certain local facts. We had a snack and drink at the cat cafe and shared photos of our cats amongst the group. Highly recommend!

We scheduled a private tour for 10 with Your Friend in Reykjavik. It was a diverse group (ages 61 to 93) with one person who uses a walker, and 2 with limited mobility using canes. Bo, our tour guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything Iceland. He tailored the trip to accommodate our Seniors, and those who had no mobility issues. He took photos of our group and ensured we all got the most out of the tour. I highly recommend Your Friend in Reykjavik, and also Bo, who was awesome!

Our guide Biarni was engaging and provided excellent information to go along with the food. We got to sample a nice mix of dishes. Wholeheartedly recommend!
Product: Reykjavik: Icelandic Food Tour
The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and conducted the tour in a pleasant and informative way. The places we visited were definitely worth seeing and well chosen. However, it felt like the guide was under some time pressure—probably due to another appointment afterwards. The tour ended about an hour earlier than scheduled, so instead of the booked 7 hours, we only got 6. For a price of nearly €1,400, I find the value for money questionable—even by Scandinavian standards. Additionally, the vehicle shown in the booking photos was a Mercedes V-Class, but we were actually transported in a Renault Trafic. This was a noticeable difference from what was advertised and what we expected. All in all, a solid tour with a good guide, but with some shortcomings in organization and overall value for the price.

Excellent walking tour with Stefan I
Very nice 2 hour walking tour with Stefan I. We walked all over Reykjavik and Stefan explained the sites. Stefan is a mellow, informative and entertaining guide, and I learned a lot about Iceland’s history from the tour. Highly recommend as an introduction to the city.

Bonne nourriture et excellent guide.
Notre guide Olì était excellent et avait un grand baggage de connaissance. La nourriture était bonne et la grosseur du groupe assez petite pour rester conviviale.

Awesome way to learn about Reykjavik and Icelandic culture (while meeting cute cats)
This tour exceeded my expectations! Our guide, Stephen, was so knowledgeable - not just about the local cats, but about Reykjavik and Iceland in general. The cats are adorable and we learned way more than we expected about the city and its culture. Thank you for a great experience!

great way to experience Reykjavik
Definitely a highlight of our trip. Food choices were really enjoyable: lamb soup, smoked salmon, cod and potato dish and Icelandic beer (Einstok). The walking tour was also very enjoyable getting a variety of historical and cultural insights from a Reykjavik long timer.
