Our tour guide, Frank, was excellent. He was interesting, friendly and knowledgeable - he also showed us many things we would never have seen left to our own devices. I wouldn't change a thing about him! We had a lovely sunny day, but I'm not sure how the hot dog stand with no undercover seating would have been if it had rained.......

A fun couple of hours seeing Reykjavík despite the weather.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our walking tour guide other than he said it translates to “Thunder Bear” in English. He was a fun and very smiley guide who took showed an interest in the people in his group (there were six of us - 2 Americans, 2 Canadians and us two from England). It was an easy walk and we were shown the main highlights of Reykjavík city centre although it was a surprise we weren’t taken to the Harpa Concert Hall. It became slightly irritating that at quite a few of our stops our guide wanted to take a group photo of us (six photos in all) but when they were sent through to us a few hours later they were a lovely memory of the afternoon.

My partner and I did the Catwalk last week and had an amazing time. This was one of my favourite travel experiences ever. It was such a kind group with a shared love for cats! Our guide was fantastic and knowledgeable about the local cat community and other local history. He sparked our interest in learning more about Icelandic mythology, history, and geography through his wonderful storytelling. Highly recommend this tour!

Must do for cat lovers

Loved every second of this tour, our guide was a massive cat lover and we got to meet lots of different cats around downtown Reykjavik as well as hearing stories about famous felines. Absolutely perfect for anyone who loves cats.

So informative!

Our guide, Hrafn, was outstanding. He spoke English as if it was his first language, and he was able to answer any question posed to him. We went to places that I would never have discovered on my own. The Icelandic and local history was fascinating. It was a great way to spend two hours.

He was very knowledgeable not only about the sights we visited, but also shared Icelandic music and literature with us. Great introduction to Reykjavík

This is a “must do” in Reykjavík. Robyn mesmerized us all with her local folk stories and the development of the city—-from structures to politics. Her talk was humorous and factual, and she enthusiastically answered questions. She was easy to hear and to understand. Fantastic experience!

We did two activities with Palli: The Islandic Storyteller, and the Reykjavik Walking Tour With a Viking. Both were so much fun. It was fascinating to learn about Iceland from him, both the history and how it is in the present day. We have a much better understanding and appreciation for Iceland thanks to him.
