A Really Lovely and Unique Experience
This was such a delightful and unique tour! Our guide was full of funny anecdotes and clearly truly LOVED his job.
Product: The Reykjavik Cat Walking Tour
Excellent!
This was the first tour I did arriving off of the plane when I landed in Iceland. It was awesome! We learned so much about the history of Iceland, and all the food we ate was delicious. Our tour guide, Magnus, was so funny and kind, and also offered us suggestions on other activities we should do while visiting. Bring your appetites - it was a lot of food! Overall, a great experience!

It was great fun.
The gentleman who did the tour was amazing. He had such great stories. He was very knowledgeable and interesting.
Product: Reykjavik Folklore Walking Tour: Meet the Elves, Trolls & Ghosts of Iceland
This was a great walking tour through Reykjavik history from the Hallsgrimskirkja church to the harbor. Bo provided a colorful picture of Iceland through his family history and stories and the many historical areas and highlights of Reykjavik. Bo provided a rich understanding of the city we could not have gotten on our own. We highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed the tour with our guide “Bo,” who was a Reykjavik native. He met us at the cruise terminal and took us on a 3 hour tour of the city highlights. He made everything so easy for our intergenerational group (teens through seniors) and found something for everyone to enjoy. We had done little research beforehand on what to ask to see so were very grateful for his insights. Great stories about Iceland history and current events as well! Definitely felt like we had a friend in Iceland :)

Thank you, Kristjan Stefansson, you capped off our Iceland trip with an experience we will carry with us for a lifetime. Iceland is our favorite place on the planet. Waterfalls, volcanoes, hot springs and massive landscapes that can make you feel like you are in a fairy tale one minute, only to find yourself on a deserted otherworldly planet later the same day. We recently decided to go back to Iceland for a second time and apply what we learned on the first trip to make the second one better and we decided to throw in a Reykjavik beer tour on our last night as a different way to see the city. Beer is beer, tours are tours, and cities really aren’t our thing when we think of Iceland. However, Kristjan made this tour a highlight of our trip, and yes, a tour that is equal to the insane attractions that Iceland has to offer. He didn’t mindlessly ramble about history or simply point out attractions, he shared personal stories about the love he has for his home country and his ancestral ties to Iceland’s storied past. Simply put, Kristjan is not a guide, he is a future friend that you haven’t met yet. If you are the planner of your next trip to Iceland, do yourself and the others in your group a favor, book the Reykjavik: Beer & Booze Tour and ask for Kristjan. You’ll thank me later.

Boring
For me, the tour was disappointing. The name of the tour—“Walking with a Viking”—was misleading. I expected to learn more about the history, language, and culture of the Vikings, who have inhabited Iceland since the 800s AD. Instead, the focus was primarily on the 19th and 20th centuries. The historical information lacked depth, and the guide’s narrative was unengaging. We spent over two hours mostly walking past houses that offered little historical or cultural interest.

We had a wonderful tour through parts of Reykjavik, largely thanks to our fantastic guide Einar. He shared the city’s history with enthusiasm and passion. We were also lucky enough to hear his beautiful singing voice in the church we visited. Highly recommended. - 2 Norwegian tourists

Disappointed
The guide was a half hour late because she overslept. Also the itinerary advertised wasn't followed, missing spots. I have been on a lot of tours, unfortunately this was less than average.

Really good walking tour...
Really good walking tour - lot of history and facts mixed with the folklore. Great guide who was fun as well as factual

Wirklich grandios!

I went on the Catwalk with Bardi. It was so much more than I expected. Bardi wove in history, folklore, and humor as he led us through town to meet Reykjavik's notable feline citizens. We stopped at a cat cafe for coffee, and he even introduced us to his own three cats. As a cat lover who was missing my own kitties, it was an amazing way to see the city and make a purr-fect connection.

My husband, two children, and I were so pleased with our food tour hosted my August (June 2025). August was very knowledgeable not only about food but about Icelandic and Reykjavik history. On our tour we were able to sample lobster soup, pickled herring, lamb tatare, the famous SS hot dog, lamb stew, fermented shark, and a host of Iceland treats and snacks. We had a great time with the host and group. There was a fair amount of walking but not too much. August was also very friendly with my children (age 7) and each location welcomed them. I would highly recommend the food tour during your visit to Reykjavik.

Bardi was an excellent guide. Gunnar was training to be a feline focused guide and added so much to this tour, We enjoyed this small group and met everyone of the cat stars of Reykjavik . We were able to find these cats of our own the next day. The Cat Cafe provided us with the best hot chocolate. If you love cats and are in Reykjavik, take this great tour!

Wonderful Introduction!
We had a wonderful private tour with Stefán Ívarsson around Reykjavik! He was entertaining while sharing the sites and stories of the city. This was a great first day activity to help us learn more about the city.
