We did the walk with a viking tour. Our viking was friendly and super knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about Icelandic culture, and history. The walk was very light and accesible, and should be manageable for individuals with mobility challenges. We saw many intersting sites throughout Reykjavik and learned about interesting places which we later visited on our own.

Magnus was fabulous! He was really informative and a lot of fun. The food was great. We had four tops and were more than full when it was all over! Definitely recommend!

Exceeded expectations by far!
Amazing. So entertaining.guide was incredible and do thoughtful and charismatic. Very funny and great stories. I never knew how important cats were in the countries history- really intetesting. He took lots of pics of us and went to many great stops to see these cats that are like royalty. One of the best excursions we did here.

My partner and I did this...
My partner and I did this tour the day we arrived in Reykjavik and it was phenomenal. Our guide Magnus was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us about Iceland history, traditional foods, culture, agriculture, and so much more. The food stops were all delicious and it was a great way to see the city before knowing much about it. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone new to Iceland.

We had the absolute pleasure of joining Mathias on the Reykjavik Folklore Tour, and he was fantastic from start to finish. Our group of 23 – a lively mix of giggly Guides and their leaders – was quite a handful, but Mathias handled us with humour, patience, and genuine enthusiasm. What could have been "just" a 1.5-hour walk turned into a fascinating and fun journey through Icelandic folklore, history, and hidden corners of the city that we hadn't come across during our previous days in Reykjavik. The stories were engaging, the pacing was perfect, and Mathias was incredibly knowledgeable – answering all the girls’ (many!) questions with warmth and insight. We left the tour feeling like we’d discovered a whole new side of the city – and with a few elf stories to take home too! Highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Mathias as your guide, you’re in for a treat.

Fun way to see downtown and learn about Icelandic culture
This was fun. It was pouring rain, but our guide Inga made it fun anyway. She knew so much about Icelandic culture and history, and all the best spots to find cats. If you are as cat-crazy as my wife you will love this. Also, the traditional donut-like treats at the cat cafe were very good.

Great food, Great conversation
Robyn was a great host; the conversation, food and the stop at the flea market. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip. So the food, I'm glad I got to try the Icelandic hotdog and the fermented shark with cordial chaser. The lamb soup was fantastic as were the other selections. Thank you Robyn.

Wonderful overview of Reykjavík
Today we had a lovely tour of central Reykjavik walking with Gudren. The tour was a great overview to familiarize ourselves on our first day. We learned history and got our bearings . Thank you Gudren! Would recommend this tour for first time visitors.

Good way to start trip around Iceland. Tour was as advertised. Thor was our guide and very knowledgeable and shared some fun and interesting stories. Food was varied as advertised. Overall good experience and simple quick way to familiarize oneself with Reykjavík

Shamles of a company, DO NOT BOOK
Thanks for cancelling our Food Tour twice whilst we were on holiday in Reykjavik. Absolute Shambles of a company cancelling at 3.30pm for a 6pm booking. Bet I don't get my refund via GetyourGuide. They did the same thing the first time around. DONT BOOK THIS COMPANY, unless you are willing to gamble if the food tour goes ahead or not.

Very lovely walking tour with our guide Bardi, who is a real crazy cat dad 😻with a lot of historical information about Reykjavik and its Cats ( reality and saga’s) As catlovers we were interested all the time in what he had to say! He even took us to his home to meet his lovely cats and a very nice friend of him. A really nice tour for catlovers, even in the pouring rain.
