An Unbeatable Reykjavik Overview

Great experience with a kind local guide. Appreciated the stories and the ability to ask questions. Was also a short walk so around a block or so.

Wonderful experience, confusing location

The directions are confusing. Two talk stone pillars are at a statue of Ingólfur, which we thought was Ingolfur Square. It is not. Another area also has two stone pillars. It took us 35 mins. to find our guide. Stefan I. waited for us. He was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience on the tour. He told us interesting stories of folklore and showed us hidden street art we never would have found on our own.

We had a walking tour scheduled with a guide name Katrin. However when she realized that we were Jews and some of our group live in Israel, refused to give it. Not only that, she started to harass us and insulted strongly. She told us we were not welcome in Iceland and even threatened us that a protest mob could chase after us. Since the beginning, we told her that if she was not comfortable doing it, no problem!… but kept offending all our family (even our small grandchild who is 10 months old) Very sad experience

Best Iceland tour ever!

This was one of the best tours we have ever done! Cannot recommend Salina enough. We saw so many important bits and Salina allowed us so much time at each place. She even took us to see Puffins at the end of the tour which was extra. Salina was a superb tour guide, very informative in a friendly way. It was as if she was talking to group of friends, not teaching a class. We went to a lovely local restaurant for lunch , which was so so good. Absolutely fantastic! She explained to us how best to come back to see northern lights and sent us photos that she had taken on the tour. Do this tour with Salina. Cannot thank you enough for making this trip the highlight of our entire Iceland trip.

Viking tour with family

The Toor operated did an excellent job of trying to keep people engaged despite a pretty lackluster crowd. He made several effort to engage some people in the choir side, but not much more he could do. We learned exciting facts that was our goal going into the tour. I will see some of the stops like the blockhead statue didn’t really fit the tour.

We did the Folklore tour in Reyljavik with Icelander Tomas. A wonderful storytelling tour mixing and blending folklore, magic, culture and religions through time. Highly recommended when in Reykjavik.

Nice tour! The guide took his time and answered any questions that came up. Felt more like listening to a local friend than a normal tour and the tour was a lot longer than advertised.

Something different and fun!

Our tour was a lot of fun, learning about the cats but also some history and a couple of story tales along the way. Our guide took us through parts of the city we may have not seen otherwise. The café was a lot of fun and a nice break with coffee and sweets while we got to enjoy the company of the felines who reside there.

Sefan was a great guide. Told us about the elves and elf rocks. Showed us all the sights and places to eat. Very entertaining and had a great grasp of language and history of Iceland and their relationship with neighboring countries

our tour was supposed to be 31/2 hours and stephan only toured us for 21/2 hours. i’d say it was very mediocre it could have been much more interesting
