We loved this tour. Our guide, Anna Olafsdottir was so knowledgeable and our tour was well planned and took us to all the sights that we wanted to see. And she was very accommodating by doing exactly as we wanted and needed. A very comfortable minivan was the vehicle.

GREAT Reykjavik Cat Walking Tour on July 18, 2025!! A MUST DO TOUR FOR CAT LOVERS. Our Tour Guide, Bardi was the BEST, a true cat lover and knowledgeable about Reykjavik. We were a small group, 6. which made the tour more personal and most of us were cat lovers. Thanks again for a GREAT Reykjavik cat walking tour; we really enjoyed meeting the local Reykjavik cats including the tour guide's!! And thanks Viator for making it very easy to book especially with the "reserve now pay later" option.

The tour was fun and very informative. I highly recommend this walk. Olafur gave us a great overview of the history of Iceland and Reykjavik along with some fun personal touches to the stories. Perfect first day adventure.

We did the folklore tour in July 2025. The guide (named 'Rock Mask' in Icelandic) was new so he was not very engaging, and he read from his notebook quite a bit. Plus he was late arriving at the meeting spot. He had a lovely singing voice when sharing a few songs in Icelandic. We walked to a garden, a church, and a cemetery and learned about trolls, hidden people, and the Christmas lads among other regional folklife. Recommended for adults and for kids over age 7.

I absolutely loved this tour! We booked this tour late in the afternoon of our arrival day, more to stretch our legs and adjust to the new time zone (USA tourists) than anything else. Our guide was Stefan. He brought folklore to life by sharing the history and culture of the "old" stories. He pointed out their relevance in today's world all while using his innate talent for character voices and flare for storytelling. This tour was delightful (and a little bit scary)! As an added bonus, the occasional Reykjavik cat brought smiles to everyone, despite the less than ideal weather conditions. Highly Recommend this tour and tour guide! Thank you Stefan! This tour was a great way to begin our understanding of the Icelandic people, culture and language as well as their storybook heritage. The tour timing also helped us beat jet lag.

Went on two tours with 'Your Friend in Reykjavik' this past Saturday, Aug 2. Ester E. guided our walking tour, visiting Hallgrimskirkja, Skólavörðustígur Rainbow Street, and numerous shops and landmarks. We learned quite a lot, as Ester is quite knowledgeable about the city & Iceland in general. Her English is exemplary as well. We also did an afternoon 'Sweet Tooth' tour with Magnus and his assistant guide, who indeed took us to some of the finest pastry & sweets shops we've ever been to. Magnus as well was very knowledgeable helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Reykjavik.
