Highly recommended private tours in Tokyo!
We did a private tour with Subaru while visiting Tokyo for the very first time. The best decision! He showed us such local places, which we would never discover ourselves. Subaru was also very accommodating to all our wishes and kept a good vibes going for the whole 4 hours. Highly recommend!

Cherry blossoms and Matcha
Wakana did so well in taking us to the places/activities we were interested in. She was friendly, attentive and fun to be with. Well done, Wakana!

Great 4 hours in Tokyo
This was amazing time with the guys , I saw he secret places and hidden shrines. Visited great restaurants and grateful cafes. 100% recommended

Street food and thrift day!
The day was absolutely spectacular. Staying away from the tourist traps, we were able to enjoy the quiet city of Shimokitazawa. Tomoki created a perfect day, and Wakana was the best guide we could hope for. I will be sure to come back soon!!

Family friendly tour guides!
My family of 7 adults and 2 kids had a wonderful time with Taiga and Wakana giving us a tour around Odaiba, they were friendly and very helpful altogether. We had a chance to meet the rest of the crew and they were as welcoming and interesting to talk to.

A lovely Tokyo experience with Michitabi!
Had truly a great time with Yuta and Taiga (Michitabi tours). We started with cherry blossoms photography tour. They took us around even on a rainy day where we thought it was not possible and made the day so much memorable. It was such a productive day and the team was so energetic to fulfill all our wish list around Tokyo that day. The cherry blossoms were a bonus. They took us to Meguro river cherry blossom sighting which was a surprise and truly beautiful experience. Both my husband and I are grateful for the day. We tried local food also on their recommendation and the day went by. We did not want it to end. I also must add one personal touch, we were on a tight schedule and wanted to reach teamlabs from our last spot. I requested them to help us board the taxi for right destination so that we reach team labs on time. They did go out of their way to help us with that. Really happy and grateful ☺️

Customisable tour with an awesome team !
We had a great time with Wakana and Tiger from the Michitabi Team ! Communication and planning was excellent from the start till the end ! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing not just the food itself but the stories, culture, and history behind each dish. It made the whole experience feel so much more meaningful. We got to try a wide variety of foods I probably wouldn’t have discovered on my own, from hidden local spots to iconic street eats. The pacing was perfect too—enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed, but still covering a great range of places. I also appreciated how accommodating they were considering we were a group of 9 including two kids and the elderly. If you’re visiting Japan and even slightly into food, I’d 100% recommend doing a tour like this. It’s such a fun, easy way to explore, learn, and eat really, really well.

Yummy food and great stories!
It would have been impossible for us to experience this lovely local neighbourhood and the eateries with rich history, especially with children in tow. Subaru was very patient in going at our pace and explaining to us the cultural significance of our various activities and generous in providing us with tips on how to get by the remainder of our trip. He even helped entertain our two young boys while we took a brief respite to indulge in the various activities. It was a very good quality private tour! You could also tell from interactions that the team has built rapport with the local vendors so we felt very welcome without being artificial or in anyway feeling like a tourist trap. Would book again!

The team is funny and helpful. I was traveling solo and chose this team to take care of me. Japan has always been my dream destination, but I had very limited time and wanted to visit as many places as possible — and you guys made it happen. Unfortunately, the happy moments were too short. Heel ontspannen manier van reizen en verkennen van Tokyo. Subaru wist ons veel te vertellen en bracht ons geruisloos van de shrine naar drukke hotspots en weer naar de hidden gems van Tokyo. Superleuk om zo de eerste indrukken van de stad te krijgen en later meer te kunnen verkennen.

Global minded, very kind with a warm touch of humor
We are very impressed from the very first greeting to the last goodbye: our tour guides Tomoki and Ranjan patiently showed us beautiful places in Tokyo such as the Shinjuku Gyo-en, the Imperial Palace, the Tsukiji Fish Market and Kamakura. We laughed a lot! They are also amazing translators with full of empathy and care. When we come back to Tokyo in the future, we will definitely call them again and discover more of Tokyo with them. Arigatoo gozaimasu!

A Tokyo street food experience to remember
We had a wonderful few hours with Ranjan, who showed us a few selected local steet food joints while we chatted about everything Japan, food and life. The Takoyaki and yakitori were the highlights for me, although all the food was fantastic. This would be difficult for an outsider to experience if not suggested by a Tokyo resident. Thanks to the whole Michitabi Tour team for the experience!

Highly recommended and oishi ( yummy) local food we wouldn’t have found or been game to enter some of these places . The local guides had good English.

This tour took us in an amazing extensive area of local food vendors where you need an interpreter if your Japanese language is lacking. Our guides new most of the vendors and selected delicious variations of unique foods

BEST LOCAL TOKYO TOUR !!!
We were guided by Tomoki and Ranjan. The entire trip was well planned and meticulously guided. They have taken us to local spots with less crowds and we had very pleasant interactions with the locals. Our cherry blossom photos with Nao was very well guided and fun. I definitely recommend other to give Michitabi tours a try.
