It's such a wonderful and beautiful place to get away from the big city while in the middle of it (Houston's Central Park). The children enjoyed it so much and it was big enough to not be able to cover the whole zoo that we will to come back again to finish!!

Great place to go with kids and even as grownups. Only thing I would suggest is buying all rides etc ahead of time. To the administration, directions are not always clear. I was looking for a giraffe enclosure and found one or two board directing me and then suddenly nothing. I asked at least 5 people about them. The exit????I personally felt exit directions were not clear at all at the end of a long tiring day it can be a killer. One serious tip. Plan for 4-5 hours for good look. Wear shoes and have strollers for kids who can't/won't walk. Carry water and small finger foods. The other thing for the administration: what were you thinking closing the zoo at 5PM on Friday of a long weekend? Let small issues not get in the way of an awesome place and an awesome time.
