Zoo Lights was a nice experience. During the regular times at daylight, this is one of the best zoos I’ve been to.

The living environment of animals is large... But there are few animals... I often can‘t find where the animals are hiding? Still not at all...

Houston Zoo Lights was one of the most disappointing holiday events I’ve ever been to. First of all, it is insanely overcrowded to the point where it completely ruins the experience. You are packed shoulder-to-shoulder with people, constantly being pushed forward, and there is no room to stop and actually enjoy the lights. The entire night feels rushed and chaotic instead of festive. The route is shockingly short. For the amount of money they charge, you expect a long, immersive walk, but instead you’re basically funneled through a tiny loop and then it’s over before it even feels like it started. There is nothing magical about being herded through a short, crowded path. On top of that, it is wildly overpriced for what you get. This feels like a money grab, not a thoughtfully designed holiday experience. The value simply isn’t there. Another huge issue is the lack of crowd control. There are tons of kids running wild, pushing into people, cutting lines, and blocking paths while parents just stand there doing nothing. It makes the whole experience stressful and frustrating instead of fun. Honestly, if you’re looking for zoo lights in Texas, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are far better zoo light events that actually manage crowds, offer longer routes, and provide a much better experience for the price. Houston Zoo Lights was not festive. It was crowded, overpriced, and poorly managed. I won’t be coming back.

The parking was awful. After searching for 45 mins we finally get up to the front with my grandkids and myself the rude gate refused to let us in because i didn't have a the snap card that we got discounted tickets through. I understand that it was a discount but two babies were there and she was actually going to turn us away but thankfully my disabled daughter was able to go get the card. It was really ridiculous because they should have asked for the proof at purchase not when two babies were anxious to go in and were denied entry. The way she spoke was very unkind.
