We had an amazing and very fun time visiting the Houston Zoo! The location is extremely convenient, located right in the heart of the city and very easy to access. What I appreciated most was the layout and scale of the property. The zoo size is convenient to walk all around big but not huge, meaning you can see everything without feeling completely exhausted by the end of your day.The facility is very beautifully designed, and the variety of animals is excellent throughout every single habitat. I especially liked the monkey sections, which were so active and entertaining to watch. Another highlight was the cool overhead bridge that the leopards walk across, letting you see them from an amazing perspective. It was also wonderful to visit and observe the gorgeous giraffes, elephants and the impressive lions up close. The exhibits feel natural and immersive, reflecting a genuine dedication to animal care and conservation education.The staff members were polite and helpful, keeping the entire area exceptionally clean and welcoming for all visitors. There are plenty of shady trees and resting spots, which makes walking around comfortable even during warmer weather. I truly appreciate how well-maintained the park is, from the lovely plants to the interactive experiences available. This makes it an ideal spot for families, friends, or anyone wanting a great day out. I would very much highly recommend the Houston Zoo to locals and tourists alike. Loved it! It has been years since I've been to this zoo! Parking was easy, though buying entrance tickets was difficult. You have to buy tickets online. No exceptions. We had our purchase go wrong, and it took about 40 min to resolve with staff. The exhibits were great, and there wereany keepers giving talks and answering questions. It was a hot day, but the park has plenty of shade, and indoor exhibits to help keep people cool.
