It was a very well kept zoo and you can see the animals are well cared for. I enjoyed feeding the giraffes. They have this experience twice a day at 11 am and 2pm only. Food and drink is crazy expensive, however, so I’d recommend packing your own snacks. >$6 for water is diabolical.

It was my first time visiting, and I was especially excited for the giraffe feeding. Since I wasn't familiar with how the ticketing process worked, I asked the employee near the kiosk, if tickets were still being sold. Instead of explaining that ticket sales didn't begin until 2:00 p.m., she repeatedly responded in a tone that made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. I understand employees can be busy, but first-time guests don't know how every attraction operates. A simple explanation would have answered my question and made the experience much more welcoming. I'm sharing this because I hope future guests are met with a little more patience and kindness. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with a disappointing first impression of what was otherwise an enjoyable visit.
