We absolutely enjoyed the entire zoo and there was so much to do. Our 1.5 year old went crazy running around and was able to view more than we expected! Our only complaint is that there was trouble finding parking due to packed parking lots. We attempted to visit before and was unable to find a spot after trying for 20 min, but today we found a spot. We've decided we'll arrive earlier next time we visit to hopefully find parking quicker.

Houston zoo was free in the 80s, then they used to let us pay with cash, now they're making us pay with debit card. SMH

This zoo is clean, friendly, and spacious. Very disability friendly as well as accessible to families with small children. The directions and direction poles can be confusing so it is very easy to miss entire sections of the zoo. I never did find the lemurs but I accidentally found the cheetah. So it was a really clean, nice, and altogether enjoyable experience. At the time I wrote this review, Houston zoo had just opened their animatronic Jurassic section. It was fun to walk through. However, their "keepsake bracelet" is a silicon dollar store type item with an animal and "Houston zoo" stamped on it. Not really impressed. So beware about their up-sell points. Feeding the giraffes was totally worth it though. You should definitely do that if you can. Very memorable experience. Thanks Houston zoo!
