(Translated by Google) The only problem is finding parking; it's terrible. There are also several pet-free areas, which is another issue. And don't buy drinks there; they're awful and ridiculously expensive! (Original) El único problema es encontrar estacionamiento es terrible, también hay varios lugares sin animales es otro problema y no compres bebidas ahí están malísimas y carísimas!!!

This zoo is so cute! We visited on a Saturday (yikes), I know...... parking was horrendous. We decided to park in a garage about half a mile away because all of the lots were packed. The area around the Zoo was super busy. Everyone was out, which makes sense because it was a Saturday and the weather was amazing. The zoo was clean, a nice variety of animals, and the animals appeared to be well cared for and healthy. Each exhibit offered time for visitors to meet with the keepers and ask questions about their respective animal. The restrooms are conveniently located throughout the park. There were a lot of different snack spots and a few restaurants. We ate a Twiga, which was actually pretty good. The restaurant offered pretty standard fare, burgers, pizza, etc... overall, the Zoo was great. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return for another visit when in the area.

Overall rating: 4.7 Wow, I know this is known as a large zoo. But the largest zoo I’ve seen for Asian elephants in the states! I wish they had a map because they separate it by location and is definitely a full day occurrence. They also have giant ant eaters which I’ve never seen in my life. They looked like puppets, so cool. I don’t have that much to say, it was a great zoo.

The Houston Zoo is definitely one of the better ones. Sure, the entry fee is expensive, as is the food and drink.Helps when you bring your own. Their app is also incredibly helpful to have because it gives you plenty of info whilst the interactive map makes things incredibly easier! I would go here on a weekday to avoid the rush and to get a parking spot that's not far far away. It seriously took us over 30 minutes to find out and we got there at 10am. Plan accordingly. Most animals look happy! But the elephants definitely need more water in their exhibit to thrive.

Just beware of the parking lot. People will try to fight over a spot. Otherwise, once you get inside, it's so much fun!

Great little Zoo, with pretty good animal enclosures. You can get as close to them as possible without sacrifice your own or their safety. But it is great for a 3-4 hr weekend walk. My only complaint would be admission price. A $40 ticket is a lot in my opinion. Especially that you will spend money left and right inside too.

Details let me start by saying you have to buy tickets on line so for people that don’t have on line resources they can’t visit the zoo . The price for the tickets are outrageous, and if you are handicapped on top of the price ticket there is a charge for $18 wheelchair and $45 a scouter . You go shop at the grocery store and scooters are complementary for people with handicap. But not at the zoo .

The Houston Zoo is a fantastic destination for animal lovers of all ages! With animals, including rhinos, giraffes, and Galápagos tortoises, there's something for everyone. The zoo's habitats are well-maintained, and the shaded areas provide relief from the sun. Highlights include the Giraffe Feeding Platform, the Children's Zoo, and the McNair Elephant Habitat. The zoo also offers engaging animal encounters and educational programs. Located in Hermann Park, it's a great spot for a family outing or a day of exploration. My daughter loved the giraffe feeding and the elephant exhibit.
