Great place to keep kids busy. Visit in the morning to avoid heat and attend experiences.

I had a wonderful experience at the Houston Zoo! The highlight for me was the Galápagos Islands exhibit – it’s beautifully designed and truly immersive, giving you a close-up look at marine iguanas, sea turtles, and so many other fascinating species. Although I missed seeing the tigers and lions because of the unexpected rain, I still got to enjoy some amazing animals, including the puma, bears, elephants, and even a baby leopard, which was such a treat! The zoo is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are plenty of shaded areas and places to relax, which is great for families. I’d definitely recommend visiting early in the day and checking the weather beforehand so you can make the most of your visit. Overall, a fantastic experience – can’t wait to come back and see the big cats next time!

This was a really nice zoo. It is very clean, modern and the exhibits are really nice. The animals look very well cared for and happy which is always great to see. If you’re in the area I recommend giving it a visit.

Wonderful place for a day trip lots to see and will be coming back, but make sure you buy everything online because trying to in the park when it's hot as Satan's back burner with children is a bit frustrating but to be fair it did tell us on line, but I didn't realize everything was online tickets only, but other wise amazing place lovely staff and caretakers always willing to answer questions, and beautifully taken care of.

The best part for our grandbaby was that it rained and we got wet. Petting zoo was closed 😑
