The Houston Zoo is one of my daughter’s favorite place! Animals have plenty of space compared to other zoos. We really like to see the sea lions and spent a lot of time there. When it is too hot, you may not see some of the animals, so don’t be disappointment. I don’t feel good to visit Gorillas and Orangutans due to the similarities with human, I wish they can just find a natural sanction for them.

Free day is a waste of time! They won’t honor the ticket! I was told my ticket had expired it had not and I presented valid QR codes and they still refused! Guest services was a waste of time they could have honored the ticket but didn’t! I’ll continue coming for zoo lights but never a free day again! Btw they did suggest buying a membership not wasting $149 for an individual membership! Very disappointing Houston zoo! Shame on you!

The Houston Zoo is an amazing place to hang out, with incredible animals like majestic elephants and playful monkeys. It has a great, relaxing vibe with lush green spaces and beautiful scenery that makes you feel totally disconnected from the city. It's a perfect spot to just chill and you'll leave feeling pretty good about the whole experience.

Great place to spend the whole day with the kids. Lots of restrooms and water fountains. Good eateries and shop stores.
