Don’t waste your money. Spent over $100 on 3 tickets and worst value ever. The amount of exhibits that were closed or no animals was astounding, such as the reptile house and big cats (reptile building ac was out as well). The new Galapagos area the penguins exhibit was closed. Then top to off it off the whole zoo lost power later in the day so we just left. I’m done with this zoo and will save any future zoo trips for the one in San Antonio.

It's a fairly decent sized zoo, there always seems to be something they're updating & maintaining. The staff is friendly & informative, there's several shady areas that help with super hot & humid days. It's not our family favorite zoo, but it is the closest and therefore we do visit several times a year. We still have not been in the children's area, so no feedback on that, but there does seem to be quite a lot under construction at this time of year. A big plus is all the beautiful landscaping which is well maintained & there always seems to be something in bloom.
