This was my first visit with my granddaughter. I wouldn't recommend anyone spending the amount of money for the tickets that they charge because the up keep on the zoo is horrible. My family went at 9:00 am and stayed until about 11:30 am. Most of the animals were not even out to see. The food is over priced at the cafe. They charged a 23 month old to get on the carousel ride. The Houston Zoo needs to do better.

This is an amazing facility! We loved the tunnel under the sea lions and the floor to ceiling plexiglass views on many animals. This venue is well thought out and clean; the staff is also friendly. I was thoroughly creeped out by the bug house!! My son especially enjoyed the reptile house and the world of apes.
