Whale watching Tour in Puget Sound
The trip can last from 4-6 hours depending on the wildlife. Ours lasted 6 hours, which is fine, very comfortable and relaxing. We weren’t having any luck finding whales, but the Captain was notified that a large humpback was spotted back where we were. So the boat turned back into the sound and we got real close to the huge spouting humpback! Very exciting and worth it to go back and spend more time out there. Bring warm clothes if you want to stand out on the bow. They have decent food and drinks on board.

Humpback Whale
It was a long day to see one whale, however that is not a reflection on the captain or crew as they were awesome! Boat was clean and comfortable and the fruit / cheese box and hot chocolate were tasty!

Visit a beautiful Island
Easy and awesome to get to the island without complications and perfect time to hang out the shopping streets and time to visit the park. Planning what to watch is good before to get there but if not stay a weekend is good thinking. Smooth travel.

Whale Watching- a Beautiful Experience
The crew went above and beyond to ensure we got to see the whales. The weather was not conducive due to the heavy fog so another boat was called in to assist with the whale spotting. At the end, we got to see our fair share of these beautiful mammals. I was not a fan of their seating arrangement. We sat facing backwards so we spent most of our time standing or on the upper deck.

Amazing excursion
Well worth the money. Splurge for the premium seating. We were on the bow deck and were able to get shots. We also were able to get video from.our seats. Staff is wonderful. The ship was large than we expected. The ship does have food, drinks and a bar. Our day started out very foggy and every effort was made to find the whales. The fog did lift but slowly.

Good smooth ride
We travelled from Victoria to Seattle. It was a lovely smooth ride. The staff were very nice and check in of luggage is available at a reasonable price. Would recommend seats up top in either vista or comfort.

Great experience but pricey for families
We’re able to see plenty of Orca’s and several decided to narrow the 200 yard buffer zone. Crew were all friendly and professional. Though it was bit pricey for my party of six (roughly $1K) …. puts this out of reach for many families

Great way to spend 3.5...
Great way to spend 3.5 hours. I enjoyed the time on the water, the orcas were difficult to track but the naturalist kept things entertaining, the galley was a good with reasonable lines.

Make sure you know what...
Make sure you know what seat level and possible upgrade you are booking. We booked and paid for premium seating but the ferry tried to give us economy class. I had to call Viator to get everything straightened out. Everyone was friendly through the process.

Fantastic Ferry lives up to its FRS “Fast Reliable Service” but the employees are the icing on the cake!
Thoroughly enjoyable! Deb, Ashley & Jessinine are wonderful, personable, knowledgeable and excellent employees. The temperature on the ferry was A little too cold. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Very disappointed
Our trip to Seattle was planned around the idea that we weren’t sure what else we’d be able to fit in, but that we MUST go on a whale watching tour. The day of, we arrived to the pier very excited only to find it suspiciously empty, and to be told that the outing was cancelled entirely for the day. No one had communicated a single word to us. No effort was made to reschedule or make it right in any way, and we were scheduled to fly out the next day so there was no opportunity for that had there been a modicum of any sort of concern anyway. Later, we spoke to several different people who work in and around the harbor, and everyone’s general consensus was that reasonably, it is illogical to leave from Seattle itself for this type of excursion—and that’s why no one else does. The whales are much further north. So, ultimately, I feel like this would’ve most likely been an anticlimactic scam anyway, but it was a huge letdown to have flown across the country to do this one specific thing and we couldn’t even get a text or an email to let us know it was off before we wasted our time and money getting to the pier. If you want to do this type of excursion, just save yourself the potential disappointment and plan for the extra logistics you’ll need to figure out to go with one of the legitimate options out of Edmonds or Anacortes.

Unexpected pleasure
Smooth, and comfortable sailing with excellent seats with a table. A nice variety of snacks available for the early morning check in.

Loved how the ferry...
Loved how the ferry slowed to observe the whales on our way to Victoria. The ride was comfortable and it was nice that they provided nausea assist. Beautiful scenery and pleasant staff

Third party booking
They did not have my booking. It took an additional 15 minutes to check in. I did not like all the kids on the boat running back and forth, baby screaming and the staff did nothing. And I mean literally screaming from boarding to about 10 minutes before the end of us returning back to Seattle.

Whale sighting trip
Gather prior information about parking lot, if you are driving to the venue. Book window seats for better view. Middle seats not only prevent from a better view but also too close to have comfort while seating across fellow passenger.
