The Best Day

Absolutely Excellent. We saw Eagles, Seals, Orcas and Humpback Whales. They delivered on their mission. Highly recommended. Also, their boat offers the opportunity to be out in the open and protected from the elements. Excellent Experience. Felt save throughout. .

This tour was quite a bit more expensive than a similar whale watching tour we took off Cape Cod last fall, so we expected a little more. Throughout the trip, I felt the guide could have shared much more information, as there were long stretches with very little commentary. For the first two hours, we barely heard from the guide. Then, when a single orca was spotted, the boat sped over quickly, but there still wasn’t much information shared about what we were seeing. We ended up spending a long time watching that one orca instead of continuing to look for additional wildlife, which made the experience feel a bit disorganized. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the weather was perfect, but overall the tour didn’t meet our expectations, especially considering the price.

It was a lot of fun. We only spotted one humpback. No other whales. A previous trip from anacortes using outer island excursions was MUCH less expensive and far more fruitful where we saw up close a number of orca pods close by.

Lovely day on the water! We saw a pod of Orcas up North near Port Townsend. We initially were circling near Seattle as there had been reports, but they got a report of Orcas north so we set off at a great speed! We were initially upstairs but when we set off we moved downstairs and it was a lot warmer and more comfortable. very good selection of drinks and food. Very friendly staff. Very happy we saw the Orcas!

Great tour team

The tour team did a great job and were very friendly. We did see whales and seals. Love that they sent pictures after the trip. Guess maybe we should have realized the whales would be so far away that you really couldnt see them and a lot of the time all you saw was the top of a fin. Not the tour groups fault, they were great. But maybe adjust your expectations when you book this trip. I would go again, but with a clear understanding of what you might see.

Saw a whale!

Easy to pick up ticket and board. Boat was clean. Crew was great. Most importantly, we saw a whale a bunch of times. It was a lot of fun.

The collaboration with indigenous partners through Taproot Tours for the Stories from the Salish Sea whale watch tours created an amazing experience! Kalyn and Owen shared ancestral wisdom, language and stories that were a gift to recieve…and then we all saw grey whales feeding close to the shore-another gift! Highly recommend this!
