A massive disappointment – lazy tour and misleading promises I booked the whale watching tour with FRS Clipper full of excitement, completely sold on their marketing and promising website photos. What a total letdown. First, the vessel has barely any decent outdoor seating, making it uncomfortable from the start. About 30 minutes in, we spotted a pod of four orcas surfacing and diving. That was great for the first 15 minutes, but then the boat simply stopped moving. We sat idling in the exact same spot for over an hour, occasionally watching the same orcas come up for air. According to their advertising, the crew actively searches for different wildlife and whale species. My issue isn't that we didn't find other whales—nature is unpredictable, and I understand that. My issue is that the crew didn't even bother to try. Parking the boat in one spot for over an hour just to run down the clock, only to rush back to the harbor at full speed, is pure laziness and completely disrespectful to paying customers. Do not waste your money on this tour if you expect an active, engaging wildlife experience. Highly disappointing and absolutely not worth the price.

Amazing experience, we saw 6 whales and received great professional photos from the sightings. Great boat and education from the naturalist. Highly recommend!
