Booked this tour for something a little different on a family vacation. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our adventures in Iceland. Not only did we learn the history of Iceland, but we also went hunting for and found the shop cats of Reykjavik. Our guide, Bardi was entertaining and clearly a cat enthusiast. Tour includes a visit to the Cat Cafe for cookies and coffee/hot chocolate and our last stop was Bardi's home where he introduced us to his own children. All in all definitely recommend this walking tour. We plan on returning to Iceland again and will be booking some different tours with this company. Small groups, private groups, felt like the tour was made just for us. Thanks again Bardi, we had a blast and we went to the little restaurant you recommended for lunch.

Wonderful tour!

Stefan was a wonderful tour guide, both entertaining and informative. He also seemed to have a “sixth sense” about bringing us indoors a bit when the cold mist was starting to get the better of us. We would highly recommend a tour with him!

Shop Cat Hunting in Reykjavik

Fantastic tour

This a great tour to learn about the history of Reykjavik, including when it was settled, prominent locals, famous buildings, and other local landmarks. Expect to spend between 2 and 3 hours (depending on how chatty the group is) exploring downtown Reykjavik and getting tips on where to eat, drink and visit. Our guide Einar was great. Very funny, very knowledgeable, and he even showed off his singing (which was very good). Bottom line: I would absolutely take this tour again and heartily recommend it to anyone.

We had a chance to have a good in depth conversation with an Icelander. We heard such great stories about Iceland and his growing up in Iceland and his fishing days. He (Palli) was almost out of central casting! We had a really good time!

Even though it was a steady rain our Guide - Palli was great. We spent a little extra time in a coffee house to get out of the rain but we had a great time learning from him about his Country. He was just a great guide and we had a wonderful time. If you wish to taste native foods and hear about Iceland this a must do if you are Reykjavík!

Amazing Cat Walk

Amazing Tour with Bardi as our knowledgeable and friendly guide. We had a great time getting to know Ofelia, Baktun, Magdalena and many other gorgeous felines of Reykjavik. We loved the cat coffee shop and enjoyed every minute of the tour. Highly recommend for kitty lovers.

Wonderful introduction to Reykjavík and Icelandic History

My sister and I were taken on a tour by Beau and had a wonderful time!! He gave us us a fascinating insight into the folklore of Iceland, took us to places in Reykjavik we would never have otherwise seen, taught us some spells and showed us a very convincing video of Iceland’s answers to the Loch Ness monster! He also took the loveliest photos of us for memories. If you want to learn something a bit different would definitely recommend
