Eine authentische Führung mit vielen spannenden isländischen Geschichten und Mythen für Interessierte, am besten ab 11, 12 Jahre, denken wir. Wir waren als Familie mit 13,5jährigem Kind. Stefan war ein toller Guide und hat uns zur Illustration immer wieder Wesen etc. auf seinem Mobiltelefon gezeigt. Das war eine gute Ergänzung.

I did the food and the folklore tours with YFIR and had a lot of fun! Both guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining! I loved going from one place to another, getting to know the city, listening to some the stories and even eating some food! I would just change the order we ate some of the food, but overall, it was very fun!

She explained the various dishes in detail and pushed us a bit to try new things. Her love for all things Iceland is palpable. I would take another tour with her any time. Perhaps the cat tour on my next visit?

The tour was very interesting. Unfortunately the weather was cold and quite windy which made for an uncomfortable walk around town. It was a good way to learn local history and familiarize yourself with Reykjavik.

Rek. Walking Tour

Matias was very friendly and gave some nice recommendations for lunch. We didn’t really feel like we learned that much about the city though. I would have loved to see some elf houses (as advertised) or more about the big church on the hill. Our tour ended a half hour early, which was fine but we felt like there could have been more to look at or learn about. He was good company though and funny.

During my recent trip to Iceland I took two tours - the food tour (with Einar) and the beer tour (with Bo). Both tours were excellent and both guides were very friendly, personable, and full of knowledge. Due to our small group the food tour was running ahead of schedule so Einar brought us to a bar to have a beer. After the tour had officially ended we all ended up hanging out for over an hour, chatting about music and other common interests. Bo was also a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the bar scene in Reykjavik and had recommendations about what beers to try based on our tastes. Similarly we ended up chatting with Bo for about an hour after the tour had ended. I would highly recommend Your Friend In Reykjavik to anyone looking for walking tours in the city!

Einar is the best guide!

We had a great taste of Iceland if you will with Einar as our guide. We wanted to try traditional Icelandic foods without having to do full meals, and to be honest I didn’t know where to start. Many of the stops I would never have picked. All the food was delicious, Einar was super knowledgeable and he is an excellent storyteller and he and the tour took care of everything all we had to do was show up and sit down and eat! Highly recommend this or the group tour to sample some of that food that is special to Iceland

From my first email to Zofia, to our last airport drop off, the tour couldn't have gone any better! Our guide Magnus was there upon arriving at the airport in Keflavik, and throughout the entire tour. He was extremely professional, friendly, and made us feel like part of his family! He went above and beyond each day, and his passion for his country was palpable! Our driver Sven was also great, as he drove us safely from point A to point B each and every day. He was very courteous, and greeted everyone getting onto the bus. The tours they prepared for us were all fantastic, as the pace and length of time at each activity was perfect! Each restaurant they picked was also awesome, with great food and service provided at each stop. As a Tour Operator myself, I'm always very critical of services provided by others in our industry. I truly understand what it takes to make a Tour very successful, and these guys absolutely delivered at each turn! I highly recommend using their services as each detail was handled to perfection!
