Tour was okay....

Tour was okay. Unfortunately the weather was pretty crummy - rainy and cold. Guide was a bit difficult to understand and had a sense of humor that no one else really appreciated. We got a decent sense of the city and some of its history.

Stefani gave a thoughtfully personalised tour to all 3 people. We heard stories of trolls, elves, and lullaby's. We met cats and walked through graveyards. Good to spend time with someone who wants to teach. Thankyou so much!

We loved hearing Stefán's saga stories. I'd booked this experience for the evening we flew into Reykjavik, knowing that we might be tired from a long journey but keen to get the most from our short (too short!) visit. Any weariness we felt was soon despatched as we listened intently to Stefán's storytelling. He was engaging and drew us in, inviting us to share about ourselves and things we might know about the sagas, then telling us a few tales. I left knowing more than when I arrived, with visions of Loki, Thor and 3 eyed ravens dancing in my head.

Friendly and knowledgable guide. Met us at the pick up spot. Explained everything without any rush. (Very important for us). Gave us time to take pictures at every spot.

This was a great way to taste some of the dishes of Iceland and their take on other dishes. There was plenty of courses and in good amounts too! We were stuffed by the end of it. Our guide was super knowledgeable about Iceland and its culture - especially fishing, and was fun to be around.

Great way to get a general overview of Reykjavík

Good activity for your first day in Reykjavik. Gets you accustomed to the time change and an exposure to basic locations. Very low key walk. The guide certainly knew his cats.

Tour is a fun 1.5 hour walk through the city with several stops along the way. Our guide Mathias introduced us to some of the lore and stories which now inspires me to attempt the Icelandic Sagas that has been sitting on the shelf for a few years! Mathias made the walk memorable with an engaging and humorous take on the stories. Have done this tour twice and would do it again!

We did the walking food tour and it was excellent. We got the sample various Icelandic cuisine plus the legendary hotdog and fermented shark. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable in both the food, Icelandic, literature, and Icelandic lore. He was an excellent host and we really enjoyed this tour. in addition, our guide took pictures of the entire tour that were available for download at no additional cost. He created an excellent memory.
