The staff was great. It was nice to end up at a winery for some food and refreshments. We rented tubes but if we had to do it over again we would have done kayaks. Water was very slow and in a couple places we had to stand up and walk. Our arms and wrists were very tired after paddling with tiny paddles. We hit rocks in several places due to the low river level. We would definitely go again but spend the extra bucks for a kayak.

Matthew was a phenomenal guide during our brief ride to the launch point! Kayaking down the verde river was beautiful and refreshing. Getting to enjoy a wine tasting and food at the winery was a fun way to end the afternoon.

Our kayaking guides Scoty and Ben were terrific. Ben did an outstanding job preparing even the novice for the experience. How to read the water flow, what to avoid and to just have fun. We’ve been 2 years in a row with Verde Adventures and plan to come back again. It’s a great river and lots of birds to see. Thanks, guys!!

We had such a great time on our inflatable kayak trip down the Verde River! The whole experience was peaceful, easygoing, and just the right amount of adventure. The river was calm and beautiful, with gentle rapids that made it fun but never overwhelming—perfect for a self-guided tour. Our guide was fantastic—friendly, laid-back, and had a quiet sense of humor that made the pre-trip overview both helpful and enjoyable. The whole process felt really well-organized but never rushed. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours outside, soaking up nature and just floating along. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor experience that still has a bit of excitement. Great for beginners or anyone wanting a low-stress adventure!

Lead river guide, Ben, made the experience great! Awesome interpretive facts about the geography, geology and history of the Verde Valley on the way to the put in and a thorough but understandable orientation on the river. The equipment was in terrific shape and the river was peaceful and beautiful, so thanks to Mother Nature, too. 5 stars, would recommend!

Lots of fun and will definitely be doing this again. Very nice easy river flow with some mild "rapids" to go across which is better than a rollercoaster! Attentive and fun staff and they provide all the amenities for the river fun. Awesome !!

Awesome experience! We saw lots of interesting geology and birds. Some of the holes are surprisingly deep. The shallows are nice because the rocks are interesting to see with a broad diversity of colors. The tubes are first rate and have a mesh cover to sit on that keeps you from losing anything out the bottom. Second trip but won’t be our last!

What a fun experience! It exceeded our expectation! The team was super helpful and the experience was great. We took our kids and friends kayaking for the first time, and all of us enjoyed it. Now we are thinking about doing it again sometime. Would definitely recommend that experience to everyone either you are visiting or live in the area.

This was such a fun day! We really enjoyed being in the river when it’s so hot in Phoenix! Our guide, Young Jesus was a wealth of knowledge of the area and gave good advice on how to have fun on the river!
