We had a great time. Our crew was amazing (Rashee, Camile and Anthony). Camile made an amazing meal for lunch and the spots we anchored were beautiful. If you are looking for a lazy day (or even not so lazy) aboard a sailboat in a sun splashed afternoon this the spot for you.

My wife booked the catamaran trip on The Phoenix. We had great weather and a slight breeze. Group of 40 was met and split into 2. Given instructions then taken aboard and given welcome drinks. We quickly motored to little bay to snorkle. Saw a sunken boat, submarine & helicoptor. Along with many different species of fish. After we pulled anchor and sailed to Mullet Bay where groups were fed lunch (chicken & rice with small green salad) and then given option to swim. We motored back to the dock and saw planes landing at Maho Beach. What a great day! Great staff. Great food and Great memories!!!

This experience was amazing. The crew were very polite, knowledgeable about the waters and the island, and fun. It me and my friends first time in the ocean and were terrified lol but they made us feel comfortable enough to concur our fears. Food and drinks were also amazing!

Almost everything about the tour was amazing. The staff was great, food was good, and the boat was nice. However, I specifically booked this because I thought I was going to be a quiet, relaxing boat cruise. The crew brought a speaker and blared music extremely loud. I was able to tolerated it until I got seasick after having water in my ears from snorkeling. The loud base was making me so sick. I almost threw up. I have never got sick on a boat before. I asked the crew three times to turn down the music and they said they would, but nothing significant happened. I would’ve been fine had it not been for the music that was sending me over the edge. I moved to the right side of the boat that was slightly quieter. About 40% of the passengers were over the age of 40 and I’m pretty sure none of them appreciated the music. Playlist could use some help too. Just be aware that you’re not allowed to go onto shore. So if you do get sick, you’re pretty much stuck on the boat or in the water. M

Nice catamaran, but relatively little shade. Dont be fooled by the 18 people limit shown on the website, that is only if you privately hire the entire yacht, there were about 40 on our charter. Friendly and young crew but there was a massive JBL speaker playing rap and hip-hop music very loudly the entire trip. Last hour was loads of shots. If you are after a peaceful sail then this probably isnt the catamaran for you.

This was a great trip with a fantastic crew. The snorkeling spot was fun. The lunch that was prepared on board was so fresh and delicious. We saw so many planes landing and taking off at the Maho beach anchor. Definitely worth your time!

And, most importantly, it was supposed to be for a maximum of 12 people, but there were 25 of us – a complete mess, just a bunch of Americans getting drunk. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Disappointing day on the Phoenix. Per check in instructions we were to check in between 9:30-9:45. We all just stood around as other tours were greeted and left. Right around 10 we were greeted and sorted into groups. By the time we were starting to go it was 10:30 already. The first stop was not that interesting, conditions were unfavorable and it was crowded. Next we proceeded to Maho bay to see the planes land. We did not get to see anything other than one small prop plane. Next we went to the other side of the airport but think conditions were too rough so the captain opted the other side where the planes taxi in after landing. It was incredibly rough and several people who got in the water probably should not have. We had lunch then left to return back. The positives were the friendly crew and the delicious lunch. We get that conditions limit what can be done, but if it’s windy why not put up the sails and at least enjoy a downwinder out. If you are going to see planes land you should pick a boat without a mast so it can get closer and maybe you will see something. Also this tour is on the widnward part of the island so imagine less than ideal conditions happen often. Didn’t really get to see much other than the cruise ship port and the airport

Would highly recommend sailing the Phoenix in Sint Maarten. The captain and crew are enthusiastically committed to making your time aboard the absolute best experience. The food and drinks are wonderful and they stop at nothing to make you feel comfortable and having a great time. This is a great choice for both older adults as well as families with small children.

We had a large group going on the Phoenix catamaran sail and the crew did a great job with our family, including two relatives who seemed determined to have a bad time wherever they went! In fact, both of them swam a little too far for the shape they were in and had to be rescued which the Phoenix crew speedily did! The rest of us appreciated the good customer service, food, drinks, and amenities on the catamaran. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best, and the water was fairly cloudy and somewhat rough, but that wasn’t anything the crew could control. Take note that the bay we anchored in wasn’t a reef so keep that in mind. It was a short walk from where our ship, Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, docked to the marina and directions to find our embarkation point were easy to understand. Overall, a good alternative to the cruise excursions which are expensive for a large group and less intimate than what we experienced on the Phoenix!
