Disappointing day on the Phoenix. Per check in instructions we were to check in between 9:30-9:45. We all just stood around as other tours were greeted and left. Right around 10 we were greeted and sorted into groups. By the time we were starting to go it was 10:30 already. The first stop was not that interesting, conditions were unfavorable and it was crowded. Next we proceeded to Maho bay to see the planes land. We did not get to see anything other than one small prop plane. Next we went to the other side of the airport but think conditions were too rough so the captain opted the other side where the planes taxi in after landing. It was incredibly rough and several people who got in the water probably should not have. We had lunch then left to return back. The positives were the friendly crew and the delicious lunch. We get that conditions limit what can be done, but if it’s windy why not put up the sails and at least enjoy a downwinder out. If you are going to see planes land you should pick a boat without a mast so it can get closer and maybe you will see something. Also this tour is on the widnward part of the island so imagine less than ideal conditions happen often. Didn’t really get to see much other than the cruise ship port and the airport

Would highly recommend sailing the Phoenix in Sint Maarten. The captain and crew are enthusiastically committed to making your time aboard the absolute best experience. The food and drinks are wonderful and they stop at nothing to make you feel comfortable and having a great time. This is a great choice for both older adults as well as families with small children.

We had a large group going on the Phoenix catamaran sail and the crew did a great job with our family, including two relatives who seemed determined to have a bad time wherever they went! In fact, both of them swam a little too far for the shape they were in and had to be rescued which the Phoenix crew speedily did! The rest of us appreciated the good customer service, food, drinks, and amenities on the catamaran. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best, and the water was fairly cloudy and somewhat rough, but that wasn’t anything the crew could control. Take note that the bay we anchored in wasn’t a reef so keep that in mind. It was a short walk from where our ship, Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, docked to the marina and directions to find our embarkation point were easy to understand. Overall, a good alternative to the cruise excursions which are expensive for a large group and less intimate than what we experienced on the Phoenix!

Catamaran trips are my go to when cruising, and I had a blast on The Phoenix. The crew made sure everyone was taken care of, leaving everyone to enjoy their time on ship. I would not hesitate to book them again!

Had a great time on this 5-hour cruise (on Viator as 5 hour luxury catamaran day sail ). Lunch was great, scenery lovely. Snorkeled over a helicopter, plane and other objects. Not a huge amount of fish but others noted a lion fish and other fishes. People who take these types of cruises are usually fun and outgoing so do yourself a favor and book! Great crew as well.

We did a day snorkel and lunch cruise while in town on a cruise. As these types of deals go I thought it was very well done and worth the slight premium over others. The group (which they said was the most the book) was sized to leave us all room to move about, the ship was clean and modern. The lunch was prepared by a dedicated crew member and was delicious and hot - chicken, fresh salad, rice and beans. Very tasty. The bar was a real bar not just some beer and cheap rum punch. The snorkel equipment was well maintained and reasonably new. We really enjoyed the trip.

We had a great day aboard the Phoenix! The boat was very nice and the staff was amazing! We enjoyed a variety of beverages and a delicious lunch prepared and served by the crew. I’d highly recommend this trip and 10/10 rating for sure!

This was the most enjoyable excursion we did on our entire two week vacation. The crew was so hospitable! Lunch was delicious. And the opportunity to swim and snorkel in such beautiful locations was amazing! 10/10

The Captain Benji, and his crew, couldnt have been more hospitable and gracious. It was obvious they all have experience with hospitality and naturally, sailing. The lunch was delicious, the availability and selection of beverages was delightful. Snorkeling was a great experience, however, the coral is not yet up to being really "live", and colorful. Thoroughly recommend the Phoenix Catamaran Day trip as a must do Island experience.
