The walking historical/food tour of Centro Mexico City was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all expectations with Josette as our guide. It seamlessly combined a culinary adventure with a tour of the city's rich historical sites. Josette was outstanding leader- knowledgable engaging, and a joy to be around. She provided in-dept historical context on the landmarks we visited and introduced us to some of the most fascinating and delicious foods. Thanks to her encouragement, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried street food for the first time- and it was incredible! A Day Well Spent. This was an excellent experience which presented various Mexican food along with Mexican culture.

This food tour was well thought out, very informative, and absolutely excellent. We visited a variety of places show casing different Mexican cuisine. Our guide, Josette, was cheerful, full of energy, informative, and very friendly and accommodating. We sampled shrimp soup, tacos, beverages, sweets, and all during the tour we learned about the city and its people. Absolutely a 5 star experience.

What a fun outing! Our guide was young, fun, and spoke excellent English. He knew all the obscure taco restaurants, even one with a Michelin star, and gave us a brief history of Mexico City neighborhoods. We did a mescal tasting and had a great time.

Mexico City, Centro Historico walking food tour

The walking food tour of Centro Historico was well beyond our highest expectations. It wasn't just a food tour, it was a tour of historical sites around the city with stops at significant food sites and restaurants. The stops included a street cart with delicious seafood tostadas, a cantina that was packed at 3 pm on a Tuesday, a huge central market with vendors and shops, including one with incredible cheeses and another with exotic meats, steamed carnitas in an important historical building, and finally a Mexican candy shop. It was an amazing experience. I recommend it highly.

Excellent tour guide, Donna was amazing. She was well versed in the Mexican food and culture. She made our food and historical site seeing tour very enjoyable/memorable. We stopped at 6 different food spots, all were very unique. I especially enjoyed the local market stop. The fruit cups were amazing.

Great Food Tour

We had a great tour guide named Dana. She took us on a 5 hour tour to sample different food and drink around the central city. We were so full at the end that we didn’t need dinner that night. She also stopped at historic places to give us some of the history of the city. I would highly recommend this as a way to experience Mexico City.

Fabulous! Fun and educational

Had a fantastic time! Tammy gave us a tour of the historic center with lots of gossipy stories from the Porfiriana and the colonial days, interspersed with a lovely array of foods from a variety of locations. (Do NOT eat before this tour!!)

Sabores Mexico Food Tours a Must for the Overwhelmed

We went on the Colonia Food Tour with a group of nine, and it was a fantastic experience! Our guide, Johanna, did an excellent job of keeping us together while providing insightful commentary about the neighborhood, the restaurants we visited, and their unique culinary perspectives. The tour is a great way to sample dishes from a variety of restaurants while also learning about the history of the Roma Norte neighborhood. I highly recommend this tour—Mexico City is vast, and the dining options are endless, so this is a perfect way to explore its incredible food scene!
