Yummy and full of fun facts
The tacos are amazing and you will eat a lot of them do come hungry. The mezcal tasting was fun and educational.

What a great time we had! Dania was the greatest. She knew the ins and outs of the Mérida food scene like the back of her hand and delivered her wealth of information with a fun and laid back style. Oh, and the food was amazing too! I highly recommend this tour!

Dania was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. She took all our questions with patience. Visited many locally owned establishments and discovered Yucatán foods. Cocktails at the end were a special surprise.

Ximena was wonderful! The only parts of the tour we would recommend deleting was the exotic and pre Hispanic samples. The smell of the market was overwhelming, and not many wanted to try the insects or wild boar. If it is possible to shorten it to 2-3 hours, that might be easier for people as well.

We weren't sure what to expect when we started out but by the time we really got moving, we didn't want the tour to end. Dania knew the lay of the land and delivered a memorable experience. If you're a foodie wanting to experience a taste of Mérida, this is the tour to take. A fascinating tour with loads of great food delivered by a friendly and engaging guide. The Lucas de Gálvez market was the highlight of the tour for me! What an amazing place!

Fun, off the beaten path food and bev tour
Fun food tour! We ended up only having 3 of us on the tour with our excellent host Jorge. He gave us lots of information about the history of the cantinas, the locals who visit, and what we would be eating or drinking. He’s a wonderful guide and I’d recommend him again. We went to 5 different cantinas. Each had small bites (1 place had an entree) and 1 drink (1 place had 3). I wasn’t as fond of the food served (this may be because I don’t eat meat, and I know it’s a meat heavy diet here). For me the value was really about seeing several off the beaten path places that we’d never go in, with a bilingual guide who shared his city with us. Overall we learned about Merida, saw different places, ate some snacks, and drank a variety of drinks.

Authentic, fun cantina tour
This tour of cantinas around Mérida centro was great! We ended up with a really small group, and went to restaurants/bars we definitely would never have gone to as tourists alone. Our guide Jorge was knowledgeable about Mérida and food, and was a good sport about my 1000 questions. It’s not fancy, but that’s not what you’re looking for here - given that you’re the only tourists in the place, you get the sense that you’re getting an authentic cantina experience at every stop. You’ll leave full (and if you don’t want an alcoholic drink at each stop, mention it before you go inside!)

Yucatan Food Adventure
Wonderful exposure to Yucatan food with visits to several locally owned establishments. Cocktails with local influences was a great way to end the tour. Wear good walking shoes and bring a healthy appetite.

Great street food and market tour with Jorge Casal! Very interesting history and loved all the different foods, so much I had to get a sandwich to go! Very lively guide , we really enjoyed ourselves!

Top Notch food and history tour of Coyoacan
Jimena, our expert local guide was lively, friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Coyoacan (where she grew up and still lives) as well as the culinary offerings of the area. Everything we tasted was “best of”! Standouts: the quesadilla market stand (squash blossom and the chicken tinga both with cheese), the Chocolate Mexicano, and the Tlayudas.

Amazing food tour through the Centro Historico. Had a delicious variety of food and drinks representing different areas of Mexico, ranging from familiar (tacos) to exotic proteins not for the faint of heart (rabbit, grasshopper ). Can’t say enough good things about our wonderful guide, Jossie— friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable with really good energy. Highly recommend this tour with a special shout out to Jossie!

My husband and I had a food tour on 2/20/26 and Ángel was our guide. He was warm, personable, entertaining and knowledgeable. The five hours of the tour flew by. We had plenty delicious things to eat and drink, and we learned about the history of an important part of the city. I would recommend this tour as a fun activity while in CDM.
