Prague Food Tour: Traditional Czech Cuisine in the Old Town

The highlight of my family’s trip by far!!! We had so much fun with our group and our guides were the absolute best. Funny, informative, and so kind. The food was fantastic as they took us to restaurants we would have never found and ate food we never would have ordered. Such a fun way to get to know the city and its cuisine. I can’t recommend this experience enough!!

This food tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Prague! Nikola was absolutely incredible and made us feel less like tourists and more like longtime friends spending the day together. From the very beginning, she took great care to learn what we liked, disliked, and whether we had any food restrictions, which made the experience feel very personal and thoughtful. Nikola explained every food and drink along the way with so much passion and knowledge, and the conversation throughout the tour was just as enjoyable as the food itself. She created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that by the end, we genuinely didn’t want the tour to end. Everything felt authentic, relaxed, and perfectly organized. It was well worth the money, and we would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague. Thank you, Nikola, for such a memorable experience!

What a amazing experience this was! Nikola is an absolute gem. She picked the perfect places to show us the Czech Republic cuisine. Her commentary added a depth that would not have been possible if we had visited the restaurants on our own. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to schedule another walk with her when we visit this wonderful, warm country again.

Magical food tasting and touring in Prague!

We managed a wonderful tour of Prague over almost four hours that was supposed to be three. It lasted so long as we were having so much enjoyment talking with our spectacular guide Jakub. The tour was labeled a food tasting tour but to our delight it was much more than four stops eating delicious Czech cuisine and having selected historical sites pointed out and described! We found we had so much in common with our love for food and cooking that we delayed Jakub at every venue to share descriptions and recipes of food we experienced here in Prague as well’s as our own from our home in California. Jakub is a concert musician and an expert craftsman of musical instruments. Very impressive but our thirst for excellent Czech beer was matched with our delight in food tasting and guide to the history of Prague! BTW we occasionally got some surprises from his backpack. Thanks Jakub for a memorable experience!!

My Prague City Tour with my Tour Guide Katy and my Driver Adam was Amazing . We saw most of the Prague i must say Prague is definitely one of the most romantic and charming cities in the world . Katy my tour guide was so humble . She is extremely intelligent and she answered all my queries to the perfection . Adam was again very decent , sophisticated and a gentleman who drove us across the beautiful city . His driving skills are excellent . I had a very nice and a pleasant time with both Katy and Adam and i recommend to all the travellers to please take tours from the Prague City Adventures . Would surely love to come again to Prague ! My Best Wishes to them !

Nikola was a fantastic guide. We did a evening food tour. Restaurants were great, obviously, but Nikola explained how each dish became significant to Prague and the history behind it. She talked history with our our 10-yr-old and gave him suggestions of sites he would want to see. Great experience

Amazing food tour

Absolutely loved this food tour with nikola she was amazing. So friendly. She brought us to several places so was not only a food tour we had a walking tour with guide. She recommended so many places for us we never would have found alone. There was 6 in the group so a nice size and we really enjoyed it alot.

My family (husband and two teen boys) have taken a lot of food tours over the years and this definitely ranks at the top. Nicola was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who grew up in the area. She took us to some unique places to taste gingerbread, drink beer and Czech spirits at a floating brewery, eat typical holiday foods at a buzzing-with-locals restaurant, and top it off with amazing dessert and coffee. Beyond the great food, we learned so much about Czech history including her own experience living through the fall of Communism, and she provided great tips for the rest of our trip so we never ate a bad meal! Bonus -- she took the best family photo of our whole trip with a gorgeous Prague skyline at sunset ;)

Alot of walking from...

Alot of walking from place to place. Otherwise great experience trying different food around town. I might suggest to have the number of participants plates should have a piece of what food to be tasted already equally ready to go for each person to taste test. Passing around a single portion and pulling from that single portion is kind of intimidating 😳. Have the plates prepared before hand so you create a more comfortable experience.. just an idea 💡 😉

Great day in Kutna Hara!

We had a lovely day trip to Kutna Hora, provided by Prague City Adventures. The tour was organized from start to finish and the coach ride was very comfortable. Our guide Misa was amazing. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Prague and taught us many interesting facts and she was also a lot of fun to spend the day with. I would not hesitate to recommend Prague City Adventures and will definitely book tours with them again when in Prague!
