Prague Jewish Quarters Private Tour

Nikola was fantastic. She met us at a location that was convenient for us based on our morning activities. She also was helpful in finding us a quick bite to eat as we were walking as we hadn’t eaten. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the synagogues, providing tremendous history and context to overall Czech history. She was very efficient to optimize which location to visit based on wait times, maximizing our enjoyment. Overall, she was Very friendly and attentive and even provided a couple of other recommendations. I really recommend Nikola and the tour!

My wife and I booked this tour through a travel agent as we love to get a sense of a new city's food and culture by first going on a food/beer/wine tour. This was was a great way to get to know a bit of the culture and history of Prague. Our guide was easy to find, spoke great english, and was able to pivot in light of an unforeseen power failure. We saw a different area of Prague that we likely would have never ventured to without this. We got a great mix of beers and food. Go hungry!

What an absolutely spectacular time we had with Will! One of our biggest highlights from Prague :) Will had done his research on us beforehand and had thoughtfully curated a list of restaurants and hidden gems keeping our preferences and likes in mind, which we further customized after meeting us. He effortlessly led the tour, moving from one spot to another while keeping it informational yet super fun! The Vin Chaud and sausages at the locals Christmas Market, local crafter beer and the ice cream with Prague-specific flavors were our favorites. Also, Will was so easy to connect with and made us feel like a friend from the get-go. Thank you for the wonderful tour and your generosity throughout =) Loved his recommendations for Prague (and Strasbourg) too!

The real Prague Christmas markets

We had an awesome time with Johanka, she got us quickly away from the main market with its crowds and sameness and over to a few more local and unique markets. She was very knowledgeable about the city, its history and the local attractions. We were able to briefly experience the Season like a local for a few hours. We caught the subway and made our way out to places we would not have even known about, let alone visited. She was pleasant, personable and very charming as she led us from one market to the next, pointing out highlights and local history along the way. Since it was only my wife and I, the tour felt very personal and special and we enjoyed every moment. Thanks again, Johanka

Fun tour

Our family of 12 had a great tour with Nikola! We learned a lot about Czech holiday traditions, had some time for shopping at a Christmas market, and got the chance to try some yummy treats!

We knew very little of the Jewish heritage in Prague. There was so much fascinating history to learn. Katy did such an amazing job telling the stories as we approached each Synagogue or landmark. The tour could have gone on for hours but she covered a great deal of detail in 3 hours.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Katy from Prague City Adventures. From the moment we met her, she made the city come alive through stories, traditions, and personal touches that you simply would not get on a typical tour. Katy shared so much about Czech history and Christmas traditions, explaining the meaning behind customs, foods, and celebrations in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. Visiting some of her favorite Christmas markets felt incredibly special. It was clear these were places she truly loves, not just stops on a standard route. She pointed out details we would have walked right past on our own and gave thoughtful recommendations on what to taste, what to look for, and why each market mattered. What truly set Katy apart was her warmth and pride in her culture. She created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where questions were encouraged and conversations felt natural. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had not only seen Prague, but also gained a deeper appreciation for Czech traditions and the spirit of the holiday season. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas market tour. Our guide, Nikola, truly went above and beyond. It was so special to learn about Prague’s Christmas traditions and the history behind its markets. We visited a wonderful variety of Christmas markets, and Nikola made a point to take us to the ones locals actually go to, explaining what made each market special. Nikola also pointed out the NGO-run stalls and explained which causes the proceeds support, which added a really meaningful layer to the experience. Along the way, Nikola grabbed treats for us to try and highlighted especially good stalls. As an extra thoughtful touch, Nikola even sent us recipes afterward for some of the delicious drinks and treats we sampled on the tour. I absolutely recommend this tour. It lets you experience the magic of Prague’s Christmas markets in a way you simply can’t by wandering them on your own.
