Just stopped by for the market place. Food was good but a bit expensive for ice cream.

Great overview in such a fun, inclusive and entertaining way of so many Polynesian cultures. Don't miss the Luau or the fantastic show at the end. Highly recommend!

Such a fun trip! If I had more time in Hawaii I would have spent all 3 days provided by the ticket I purchased. You feel like you get transported to each island when you are inside. You learn a lot about the cultures of Polynesia and everyone was really kind, and excited.

Very good experience. Make sure you plan enough time to watch the boat show, also to visit all the islands and do the activities.

I had an incredible time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but the experience is truly immersive and worth it if you are visiting Honolulu. From the moment you enter, you are transported across the islands of Polynesia. The recreated villages are beautifully detailed, and the cultural demonstrations feel authentic rather than overly touristy. I especially loved how interactive everything was, the performers and guides clearly care about sharing their heritage, which makes the whole visit feel meaningful. The evening show is absolutely spectacular, with powerful music, stunning choreography, and impressive fire dancing. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip to Hawaii. To close the journey, the buffet at the end of the tour was excellent. There was an amazing variety of food to choose from, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. It was the perfect way to finish such a full and immersive day. Be prepared to spend most of the day there to get the full value, and bring comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking. If you are interested in Polynesian culture and want more than just beaches while in Honolulu, this place is definitely worth visiting.

I left the Polynesian Cultural Center feeling more disappointed than anything. For a family of five, the cost was extremely high, and I was surprised there was no military discount or MWR deal available on Oahu. Once inside, most of the activities involved long speaking portions that my young kids just couldn’t sit through. I expected more hands‑on cultural experiences, but much of it felt more like a sermon than a family attraction. What really bothered me was learning how the center operates under Brigham Young University. Many of the workers are students on work visas who are paid very little, and because the center is structured as a school‑affiliated nonprofit, it avoids the taxes that other attractions on Oahu contribute. Meanwhile, the surrounding area is clearly struggling. Seeing such a wealthy institution bring in huge amounts of money while the local community doesn’t seem to benefit was hard to ignore. It felt less like cultural preservation and more like funneling revenue into an agenda. There were a few activities that were enjoyable, but overall, after four hours, I felt like the experience didn’t match the price or the promise. It wasn’t the cultural celebration I hoped for, and it left me with more concerns than appreciation.

Fantastic experience with our guide Coley! She was the best and you never would’ve guessed she had only been working there two weeks. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend the fire show and luau!
