Whether you want one or not you get a guide. We were not forewarned of this, and felt obligated to tip after already spending so much $$. We would've rather discovered and traversed the property on our own time and in our own way. Scooters to rent were really not needed. Every single staff member had a huge smile and all of them greeted you kindly. The dance show breath of life was super great.

Another fantastic place to visit with your whole family. Can’t believe we only discovered this place after many years coming to Hawaii. It takes an hour from Waikīkī, but it’s definitely worth the trip. There are various cultural events and shows happening simultaneously, so you could easily spend a whole day hopping from one village to another. We found the Samoa village to be eventful and interesting, especially thanks to Kap’s cultural presentation that was a borderline standup comedy. The event included lighting up a fire with two sticks, crack opening a coconut, tasting the green banana coconut dish, and a lot of laughter. Aotearoa village was also good, especially the unique songs of traditional Māori music. Lastly, the evening buffet was beyond expectations. Poke’s were fresh, and the Ahi sashimi cut out from a giant tuna was amazing (photo attached). All the seafoods and meats tasted good, and the fruits were sweet. Strongly recommended to visit!

Great Polynesian cultural exhibition and show. Too many shows and activities to experience them all in one day :) The most impressive part that touched me throughout this whole journey was every employee in this park shows true passion of their job, friendly, attentive, with pride of their culture. I heard most of them are students of the university behind the park and many of them are from other Polynesian islands. Kudos to their commitment to their culture inheritance. Although not all the shows are fantastic, some feel repeating, for about $130 you got 3-day theme park, nice dinner buffet, and the most authentic Polynesian experience, where each of them could already worth $100+ in other places of the island, it’s hard to be picky more. I can tell the Polynesian people’s struggling balancing their cultural traditions and the touristic entertainment, best of wishes to them.

This is a must do if you visit Honolulu. Our visit was so informative and fun, our tour guide Chester Niel took great care of us. The luau buffet was so delicious and the end show was spectacular. If you visit you can pack snacks and water bottles, and maybe an umbrella or ponchos just in case.
