(Translated by Google) Google review: A wonderful wildlife park with the opportunity to see almost all typical Australian animals – from kangaroos and wombats to Tasmanian devils. A particularly nice feature is that you can get very close to some of the animals and even feed them, for example, the friendly kangaroos and whales. The birds of prey show was impressive. For me personally, it was a highlight to finally see the platypus, the echidna, the Tasmanian devil, and the wombats – animals that I unfortunately didn't encounter in the wild during my six weeks in Australia. Conveniently, the park was easily and cheaply accessible from the city center by public transport (currently only €0.50 per journey). Highly recommended! Absolut empfehlenswert!

(Translated by Google) The animals are kept in enclosures that are far too small, with insufficient space to move around and no place to retreat from visitors. They are also constantly exposed to noise from sources such as tables placed directly next to the koala "trees." This is purely an exhibition. These are NOT rescued animals being released back into the wild, but rather animals born and kept in captivity. The kangaroo enclosure, where they can be fed, offers so little space to retreat from visitors that these areas are overcrowded. The animals are petted and have to endure screaming, boisterous children right next to them. Loud lectures are given over microphones directly in the animals' enclosure. Animal welfare clearly isn't a priority here! Tierwohl spielt hier wohl keine große Rolle!

This experience was amazing! As a foreigner, being able to experience these beautiful animals up close was something like a dream. I absolutely recommend this place! We went on a Tuesday and it wasn’t too busy. I recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

Lone pine sanctuary has quite a large variety of animals on showcase, including obviously many koalas, kangaroos, a range of marsupials, Australian native birds and more. I would recommend this as a good way to spend half a day in brisbane with friends or family.

Great value for money! Definitely will be back as this was our second time. There is plenty to do and look at. If you’re looking for a family day out definitely add this to your plan.

I had an unforgettable time feeding kangaroos, watching the raptor show, and getting up close with adorable koalas! It was a great experience. The peaceful riverside setting and friendly staff made the experience even better. Though you can't hold koalas anymore, the new Koala Close-Up sessions let you spend meaningful time with them without causing stress.
