Great place to spend at least half a day - lovely walks, fascinating demonstrations, informative displays. You've seen koalas before? Here they're a mere meter away! Did you know that their joey's can't initially eat eucalyptus? Do you know how that ability is passed on from their mother (bet you don't!!)? Have you had a falcon whistle past your head, a wedge tailed eagle stare at you from just a metre or a barn owl watch the swallows with a hungry look? Lovely staff, great experience.

We really enjoyed our visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary – everything was well-organized, the animals were amazing, and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately, our little daughter had a fever and got tired quickly, so we had to cut our visit short. We’re definitely planning to come back another time when she’s feeling better and can fully enjoy the experience!

The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Nocturnal Tour was an absolute delight! We went as a date night, and my partner absolutely loved it. It was incredibly relaxing and offered a completely different perspective of the sanctuary. Seeing animals like flying foxes, koalas, wallabies, Tasmanian devils, wombats, and a tree kangaroo active at night was unreal! We even got to feed pademelons, potoroos, and bettongs which was a real highlight. The guides, Ruth and Emily were fantastic – so knowledgeable, engaging, and their great chemistry made the experience even better. They shared fascinating facts about the animals and the sanctuary itself. Their bright red flashlights, and infrared cameras, ensured we could observe the animals without disturbing them. This tour is fantastic value and I highly recommend it for a unique date night or a memorable family event. Just remember to wear comfy shoes and bring mozzie repellent if you're prone to bites! Also you do not need to purchase admission if you got the nocturnal tour, unless you also want to go during the day 🤓
