Exciting and meaningful. Best experience

Lovely experience at Lone Pine! This is the closest you can get to all the Australian native animals! Highly recommended

We managed to see the big 6 Aussie animals at this place…many koalas to photo, the kangaroos are great and can be petted; the Tasmanian devils , dingoes and duck bill platypus all easily visible; sole disappointment was the solitary wombat who looked very unhappy

Koala Bears, Kangaroo, Wallabies & More
My husband and I spent a few hours visiting the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in September of 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had an up close and personal encounter with an adorable koala by the name of Milton and were able to feed him some eucalyptus. Then we wandered through the kangaroo and wallaby enclosure and enjoyed petting and feeding the docile and friendly residents food pellets that we purchased in the gift shop. The highlight was visiting the Mama and baby Koala bear enclosure! I found this secret spot by asking one of the employees. I took a zillion photos and filled up my camera' s memory card in no time. If you are an animal lover don't miss a chance to spend a few hours here.

Not worth the money
$100 for one adult and one child to see a few miserable koalas and a couple of other Australian natives. You can go to Melbourne zoo for half the price. Unless you’re a tourist visiting Australia desperate to see a koala, there’s plenty of better ways to stop $100.

Well worth a visit
The sanctuary is just a short, easy drive from Brisbane. It offers the chance to see a variety of native Australian birds and wildlife up close. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and it's wonderful to see that injured koalas are rehabilitated here. While some of the enclosures - particularly for birds and snakes--may feel a k bit small, the sanctuary verall appears very well maintained. The open areas where visitors can interact with kangaroos are a definite highlight. Well worth a visit.

A very nice and well kept animal park. There are different areas and different shows for visitors to enjoy. Although we did not go to see any shows we enjoyed just roaming around, looking for the animals and briefly catching a baby Koala looking out its mother’s pouch. Getting up close with the Kangaroos was another highlight. If you don’t plan on seeing any shows 2-3 hours is more than enough for this park.
