Lots of Koalas and kangaroos to see and fun being able to feed the roos, unfortunately alot of the other animals were either hiding due to the sun or asleep

I would have loved to see so many Australian animals in the wild, but it's not easy. It takes luck, it takes time, and you have to look for them in the right places. So the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary also has its merits. It's beautiful, even if it's still a zoo, and I don't like zoos anymore.

Hmmmm I have read the 1 star review and have some sympathy with the comments . However as I tourist I trust in the fact that this fully licensed and state approved “sanctuary “ operates at the standards that are required for the welfare of the animals. With that in mind I did enjoy getting close to Koalas / Kangaroos etc respecting that they are wild captive animals. I asked and they confirmed they are not a rescue / hospital for Koalas but do take animals after treatments etc. So all in all we enjoyed our visit and encounter with the Koala etc.
