Always a solid one for the kids. I don't think the entry price is really justified - but then I know nothing about the costs of running a nature reserve. There's plenty to do to fill a full day. The highlight is always the raptor show, the low-light this time was the nocturnal animals. We saw one wombat, but missed all the other animals on that one. Not much to do about it - we did visit during the day after all.

This is a wonderful way to see and experience Koalas and Kangaroos up close and personal. You are able to pet and/or feed both in a safe and lovely environment unlike anywhere else.

This is in no way a sanctuary. Animals bred for display, not conservation. Many koala were showing stress behaviour. The pens were small with eucalyptus branches, not trees, and unnatural floors. I am sad I visited and contributed to their exploitation.

Leider konnten wir nicht vom Schiff und sind in Brisbane nicht in den Hafen gefahren. Wegen schlechten Wetters. Eine Rückerstattung haben wir nicht bekommen.Leider!

Platinum Tour well worth the splurge!

This is one of the hidden gems of Australia! Our group of 3 had booked their Platinum Tour and while it's a splurge, you get so much more than your money's worth. Alec was our guide and we loved him. I work as an educator in a US zoo and am thoroughly impressed with his skills. He's extremely knowledgeable and easily conveys information whilst keeping to a tight timeline. The scheduling of each activity is perfect! We never felt rushed from one thing to the next yet we didn't waste any time either. There's a lot of moving parts to this tour and not a hiccup along the way. I think we waited for a keeper for 2 minutes once (no biggie!) but otherwise every parcel of food was where it needed to be and our pre-ordered tea and lunch were ready and waiting for us. Lone Pine keeps to AZA standards which is a big deal with me. Beautifully clean habitats, interesting enrichment and animals that have a choice in whether or not they interact with guests. I highly recommend spending the extra money for the Platinum Tour so you can experience all their animal encounters. It was a feast of a day! Thanks to Alec and so many amazing keepers!

Great place to visit if you want to see koalas and kangaroos. The place is very clean. The entry ticket is a bit expensive, but it’s still a great experience. They offer discounted tickets for students and seniors as well. The koalas seem to be very well cared for, though there are fewer kangaroos. You can feed kangaroos and even hold a koala. There are also other animals such as sheep, crocodiles, snakes, lizards, pigs, chickens, birds and donkeys.

Lone Pine experience

A fun experience in Lone Pine, definitely recommend. You can see so many koalas there. Even better is to pay extra for the Koala experience, you would get to take pictures and touch them.
