Great thing to do in Kailua Kona
Amazing foliage, fantastic guide who was informative, animated and friendly. Even as a local I would highly recommend it to people living here.

Great way to experience a Hawaii forest
I've lived here (Hawaii Island). I often ask tourists what they have done that they enjoyed. Many times I've heard the Kona Cloud Forest tour. I hadn't done this so we went to have the experience. Everyone in our group (even the teenagers) said they really liked this. For me, it want like being in a forest nest. I loved being surrounded by nature. We did the 1 1/2 hour tour with Anna. She was Awesome. She explains the flora and fauna of the forest. I highly recommend this tour. Thank You Anna

One of a kind experience
Me and my husband enjoyed walking through the cloud forest and did a sound bath afterwards. It’s truly a magical experience, highly recommend.

Today's Cloud Forest Sanctuary Jungle Tour was fantastic. Daniel was an amazing guide and teacher, and we learned more than I can say. My husband and I went with our daughter and her family, and each of us came away inspired and hopeful about the possibilities for our planet and for the future. Bravo to a great program. It was a peak experience, and my favorite activity on the Big Island.

Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary
Absolutely beautiful. We loved learning the story behind the forest and seeing how much has grown in the last 40 years. I’ve already boasted about this place to family and friends. Daniel was an awesome tour guide. You can tell the employees are passionate about what they do here, it truly shows in their tours. We also had the opportunity to book the sound bath with Pam before our walk through the sanctuary and I can’t emphasize the experience enough. Hopefully people continue to support this place, I’d absolutely come back in the future!

Unique experience only in Kona
I did the shorter hike because it was available same day. Ana was amazing and did a great job. I learned a lot and I will definitely be back. The forest is incredible and a magical place. I highly recommend a trip next time you are in Kona.

Great nature tour
Anna was our guide for the 2 1/2 hour tour. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of the local trees, vegetation and birds; the history of how they came to Kona, current condition, etc. Anna was also very engaging with our group, which numbered 10, which made the entire experience very worthwhile.

Yoga Class Review
Attended the Hatha Yoga class, was a nice flow and good energy all around. Beautiful site , will likely come back for sound bath and yoga class.

Brie gave us an excellent, educational, and inspiring tour of the cloud forest. There is a myriad of interesting plants and trees growing and living in harmony in this forest. I recommend checking it out.

A unique and personal experience in
My wife and I booked a couple months in advance and could not have been happier! The instructions after booking made it really helpful to plan for the experience: good hiking shoes and water. The day before, I got a call from our guide to check in on us and answer last-minute questions. The drive was about 25 minutes from where we were and wasn’t difficult; just a few winding roads. Parking was easy to find (as per instructions, park on the same side as the entrance to the park). You definitely can feel the difference in temperature when you step out of your car. Our guide, Daniel, checked us in and we talked for a little bit before the start of our tour. There’s a gift shop and portable toilet at the entrance. We started the tour at the assigned time so make sure you are there at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour. Daniel did a great job explaining the history and the purpose of the sanctuary. He was really personable and knowledgeable; clearly someone with a passion for the outdoors and conservation. It was a small guided tour of about 12 people and walked the trails for an hour and a half. The group we were with were very curious and had lots of questions (from both kids and adults), so I’d encourage you to be open and ask away! It really did make the experience that much more memorable. I learned so much in the 1.5 tour. There is a longer hike that you could book, but and hour and a half was perfect for me and my wife. Some terrain can be uneven and slippery, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, I can’t think of a better activity to do if you’re interested in learning about Hawaii’s flora and fauna, conservation, and hiking. If you’re looking for a personalized tour in a very unique part of Hawaii, look no further than the Kona Cloud Sanctuary Jungle Tour!

This is such a magical place. Anna was an excellent tour guide. She let us explore, she had vast knowledge of the forest and was an amazing storyteller they allowed us all to feel more connected to the land. Thanks, Anna!

great escape for the family
Daniel was the best guide- he is passionate about his love for the environment and it shows throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this for a family who wants to disconnect from technology for a few hours and learn about the importance of nature .

It's Worth The Price and The Time To Get There!
This place is a wonder to behold! The Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary, is a place of peace and wonder. Cross your fingers that you get Bree, as your guide. !'m not knocking any of their other guides, but my wife and I, found ourselves absorbed to the stories about the sanctuary. She had good knowledge of the area, of the many plants and the trees. Listen to her talk about the purpose and the history of how it all began. (And maybe you'll hear her sing a song from her grandmother taught her as a child. It was worth the price. You will be impressed, about the differences of the plants and the connectivity of this forest. The story was brought back 80 years ago. Last, but not least, the lava that that created most of the plants, and trees. Bree, if you get a chance to see this, please look for Rose's email address and say, "Hello!". Rose was very impressed, as well. You hit it out of the park!

Highly Recommend!!
Daniel was a very warm and friendly tour guide who shared his passion and enthusiasm with our group! He had everyone introduce themselves and tell what they enjoyed in nature as children. We learned about the history of the Cloud Forest Sanctuary. Daniel explained about the different levels of the sanctuary that resulted from different volcanic eruptions over the years. He identified plants and trees endemic to the Big Island and those that were brought in from other places. We had a photo op with a rainbow eucalyptus tree and got to see a blue marble tree! Also spotted on the tour were ginger plants, anthurium, aluminum plants, wild chickens, pitcher plants, mushrooms, and more! At the end of our tour, Daniel asked each group member to share an observation about the tour. It was a fun way to end our journey through the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary. I highly recommend this tour. You will take a little piece of the cloud forest with you in your heart when you leave. ❤️ ☁️🌳

Inspiring!
This is a great experience. daniel, our guide, was knowledgable, passionate and engaging. Highly recommend this experience. We did the sound bath meditation with Diane beforehand and we just felt so good going into the jungle tour.

The Best Sound Bath in the Forrest. Make sure you do this when in Kona!
Brooke Olenski has a magical presence wide eyed and open hearted she made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. She also transmitted the sacredness of the place which is tangible, by the way. The sound bath is a one hour plus experience of multisensorial delight. The sound of gongs and crystal bowls and her toning blended with the harmony of the cloud rain forest. Hubby and I were left uplifted delighted and at peace. A must do!
