Finding peace in the forest
This tour was amazing and well worth the admission fee. It was so peaceful and beautiful in the forest. The 90 minutes seemed like we were in a protected bubble, isolated from the rushing world we came from. Our guide, Bri was terrific! She is very knowledgeable and generously shared her love of the forest. We will definitely return on our next visit to the island.

Fantastische ervaring!
Om 9:00 am. Was iedereen van onze groep aanwezig. De groep bestond uit 7 personen en onze gids Anna begon alles uit te leggen wat we gingen doen. Het was heerlijk koel in de cloud Forest. Je moet wel een lange broek en een shirt met lange mouwen aandoen want er zijn wel muggen. Anna onze gids wist heel gepassioneerd over de Forest te vertellen, over de planten groei, hoe ze daar zijn gekomen en over de vogels. Na 2,5 uur was de rondleiding klaar en hadden we weer veel geleerd over de Cloud Forest Sanctuary. We hadden een heerlijke ochtend.

A truly magical experience, led by our passionate leader, Anna. She helped us learn about the history of this sanctuary along with the history of the island. I enjoyed seeing plants and trees I’ve never seen before. A cloud settled in on us and we felt the air cool before the light rain. Such a unique experience.

Wonderful experience in the only Cloud forest in the United States
See a Japanese Timber Bamboo tree along with a Blue marble tree and a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree. Walk through a Bamboo Tree tunnel. And don't forget to look for birds and flowers along the way. Our tour guide, Anna, was very informative and interesting. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour the Montane Jungle with Anna!
My wife and I participated in the 2.5 hr. Montane Jungle tour with our guide Anna. We are experienced travelers and Anna connected us to the environment where we will share this for years. The setting is extraordinary and Anna provided facts and stories bringing us close to the culture of Hawaii, the environment and mission statement of the Cloud Forest. You can be a professional naturalist, tourist with limited knowledge of the Islands, or an individual or couple wanting to decompress and this setting has all the answers. A unique experience in a specific spot within the 50 states!

Mystical Experience
A mystical experience in the cloud forest right above Kona. Outdoors under a temple. Blankets provided since it's cooler up there. Bird song blended with light rain and singing bowels plus the instructor's beautiful voice equaled magic. Highly recommend.

Above and Beyond! Extreme Professionalism!
Unfortunately my wife got sick the night before our excursion and the day of she was still not well. We were very much so looking forward to this tour! I contacted the tour through Viator to let them know, and to see if it was possible to receive a refund though it was less than 24 hours notice. The tour operator did not see the communication from me through the Viator App and then called to confirm whether we were on our way. I explained that I had tried to contact them through Viator, he looked, and then he was able to find my communication and apologized for not seeing it earlier. I asked about a possible refund even though it was less than 24 hours, and he informed me that most likely it wasn't a possibility due to the fact that it would have to go through Viator and was less than 24 hours notice. He did apologize profusely and I told him that I completely understood and, though hoping, wasn't expecting because of the time frame. I basically chocked it up to now just being a donation to the the Cloud Forest sanctuary, which I was perfectly fine with. Less than 30 minutes later I received a notification from Viator that the sanctuary had contacted them and they were able to give me a 50% refund, which was completely unexpected, and I was pleasantly surprised! They completely did not have to, but did anyway. I cannot thank them enough! Above and beyond professionalism! If we return we will make It a priority to patronize this wonderful place. I highly recommend them just due to their professionalism and courtesy. Thank you so much!

A cloud forest in Kona
It was an amazing experience walking through the forest. Bri, our guide was wonderful. She explained everything about the cloud forest in a very nice way. Seeing all those tiny mushrooms to all those huge trees was a unique experience. Listening to Bri singing was also a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.

Most serene and heavenly beautiful place!!
I did the sound bath meditation with Brooke!! She is incredible!!! And so is the entire place! The location is serene, beautiful, clean, well and friendly staffed and I can’t wait to go back and try the yoga and all the hikes!!!! This place is a MUST when you go to the big island!!!!!

Refreshing morning in the forest

Incredible and unforgettable
If you love getting away from it all, fresh air and the beauty of trees and plants this is an absolute must. Cloud Forest Sanctuary is a breathtaking piece of paradise. We were blessed when we visited as the clouds rolled in and everything was peaceful and misty and I just loved every second. Anna was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and quietly passionate about ecology and the biology of restoring the land with nature. She stopped along the wall to point out plants and flowers and allowed ample time for questions and curiosity. As an Aussie it was a surreal to see an enormous rainbow eucalyptus amongst the forest but Anna will tell you why our gums have helped the restoration of the area. You HAVE to do this tour. An Uber will get you there no worries. If you run cold, make sure to wear a hooded jumper and/ or a raincoat. It rained on us which was just lovely actually but I don’t mind rain.

Excellent cloud forest experience
We have experienced a rain forest previously, but had never heard of a cloud forest before this tour. Our guide Anna was excellent! She was so knowledgeable and moved us through the forest at a perfect pace while sharing insights into the history and vegetation of the forest. Our small group of nine had a perfect weather day (for a cloud forest) and were able to walk among the clouds in the forest and had rain much of the time. We were very happy with our choice of the 90 minute tour. It was just the right amount of time for our first cloud forest experience.

Dreamlike hike in the rain
Amazing experience. Daniel has such an amazing energy and is super knowledgeable. Learned about and had fun hiking through the rain, apparently the first downpour in months which made the experience unforgettable.

An amazing 1.5 hour forest bathing experience with our special guide Terran (I think this was their name) who brought out the best in our group of 10! Worth every penny and more! Our excellent local guide expanded our awareness of the beauty and blessing of this Hawaiian forest, depended our appreciation for connectedness with nature & all living beings, and renewed our commitment to protect the heart & soul of the earth, nature and humanity. A “just right” excursion for all ages with steady feet & a curiosity for the local flora & fauna.
