Parking sucks!! It’s horrible! The zoo is useless during the hot months and guess what? Houston is always hot! The fact that there are no signs on how to park or reach a lot is absurd to me. The worst zoo experience I’ve ever had. I will not return, it’s such a hassle to even get in. They need to make it easier for people to get inside the zoo!

I'm glad the Houston zoo offers a first Tuesday special. Took advantage of that and the family got to enjoy a day at the zoo. A few attractions are being worked on, but that was a small segment, and I look forward to seeing them open in the future. The site is laid out well so you can make one big circle around to see everything. I enjoyed that the open air exhibits and indoor with air conditioning exhibits are scattered about so you have a moment to rest from some of this summer heat. The zoo has a little bit of everything from tiny insects to big elephants, and even an aquarium section.
