Fun, but all the animals go to sleep early.

We loved the Zoo, spent 3 hours and saw a lot animals except bears and tiger. The decorations during Fall season are breathtaking. We loved every corner of the park.

Do NOT come here on a Saturday night if you like personal space of any kind you can't take a single step without bumping into someone parking took over 2 hours to find a spot got cut off 4 times waiting for a spot, when calling customer service to ask for a refund due to no parking the informed us that we should have prepared to get there earlier. very unenjoyable especially since the tickets were over 100$ for 2 people also if they didn't scalp you enough with the tickets a single small bottle of water was 6$ I will never be back or recommend to anyone EVER.

My family loves going to the zoo, but getting a parking spot is almost impossible. We had to park over a mile away to even get parked. The Houston Zoo still has a "scheduled entry time" as if they were still under COVID restrictions. Everything got so much more expensive since I last came, almost to the point where I don't ever want to return. I think about 3 hours in the Zoo costed roughly $300 in total. That may eliminate joy for some that may not be able to afford that, which is saddening. Things that I could see improving with the Houston Zoo: 1. Build parking garages in place of the parking lots. Just close one section at a time and build elevated garages. This may very well help eliminate the parking crisis. 2. Eliminate the scheduled times for entry. Things happen, and ordering a "Non-refundable" ticket is absolutely horrible, even if you can't find a spot. 3. Lower the prices a little. I know overhead costs are to be considered, but with the amount of people I saw in there, it's almost like the animals are eating better than I do when I'm treating myself.

Beautiful zoo with lots of shades and multiple food options. They are also very liberal with bringing outside food and drinks in should you find cost of food in there too expensive.

I would give more stars, it is a nice place and I had fun on a fall skip day with my daughter, but it is SOOOOOO expensive. It cost 73.00 for 2 tickets and a drink was 14.00 this is like Disney prices. It made me so sad SMH

The zoo itself is great, but the prices of anything, food, face painting, gift shop was devastating. Def. Bring your own food and drinks and just skip the Cafe (food was horrible, dry and cold and tough and 2 burgers and fries was over $40 🥺) def. Get the season pass! its well worth it! Food and item discounts..Pays for itself in 2 visits! But it was a good family day other than the prices of everything
