Zoo is always fun and nice.This visit was before the park opened for a charity event so we didn't see many animals.

We went to the Zoo Boo on Saturday at 7pm and it was not a good experience for the total price of the ticket. Unfortunately because it was late and dark outside, we were unable to see most of the animals because none of the areas was lite up and we were told not to use our lights. I have been to several Zoo Boos in a different state and I was upset that they did not give the kids candy and I did not see any events for the kids to participate in. At the price that is charged 150 for 3 people it was not worth it.

Today was my first time going to the zoo in many years. I was so impressed with all of the advancements that have happened to the facilities. Absolutely incredible habitats for the animals and that new sea lion exhibit is spectacular. Those animals are so obviously well-cared for. But really the most remarkable part of the day was the staff and volunteers. We went to the elephant keeper chat and I probably asked her a dozen questions, but she was so happy to answer them. And the volunteers! We have the pleasure of meeting Brian who might actually be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. That guy is a database! He gave us so much info about the exhibits and even walked with us through the zoo. He made us feel so special. When your volunteers are that devoted and knowledgeable it’s not a surprise that the zoo is so amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

It's a nice zoo. It has all of the popular African animals. I saw the new "Galapagos" exhibit. I was a bit disappointed. It features a seal exhibit where the seals swim above you which the kids loved. But there were very few Galapogos creatures. They had tortoises and not much else from Galapagos. The zoo itself is very large. I have been there several times and we have never been able to see the entire zoo in one trip. The kids love the carousel. My only complaint is price. It's very expensive. Prices seem to have risen rapidly just over the past couple of years. We spent $100 on admission for three of us. And another $100 getting lunch.
