Went during their zoo boo and it was pretty cool. Lots of lights everywhere and little photo displays to get a cute photo of your kids or group. Not too many animals out because of the cold. Only thing I didn't care for but can't be helped was the fact that there was a hospital right next door so all the sirens and helicopter noises I'm sure aren't great for the animals right in that corner.

Going on the night before Halloween was beautiful. All this different decorations they had set up was amazing. Wish I had gotten more photos.

I am not a big fan of zoos, but Houston Zoo's mission on conservation is so prominent in all that they do that the zoo felt less like a jail for animals and more like what a zoo really should be! Thank you for making my trip to Houston more memorable than it usually is! There are loads of animals to see and also loads of activities. Make sure you go early in the morning. The zoo is pretty big. We made it through in under 3 hours and made it to almost all the exhibits.

Not bad for how small it is. I was surprised by how much they packed into such small acreage while still feeling like a had breathing room from the crowds. The red panda is great to see! So cute. I’m leaving 3 stars because we had our photo taken at the entrance and upon leaving we went to check it out. They were way overpriced. My wife asked what they will do with the ones they proactively printed… they said throw them out. It felt like I was being asked to pay $30 for what they viewed as trash. If you’re going to toss them then just give them to us…

It’s SO INCONVENIENT you HAVE TO BUY TICKETS INLINE I spend more time than buying them on the window ! Not to mention it’s pretty pricey
