We took our grandson to the zoo for the first time. It was a great experience to share the elephants, lions, tigers, gorillas and more with him. The grounds are pristine! The displays are wonderful including the names and descriptions for the animals. We grabbed some pizza and kids meal and it was very good. We enjoyed feeding the giraffes.

I'm a Houston Zoo member and I couldn't be happier with our Zoo. I've been to many Zoos here and overseas and the way out flows, looks and treats the animals is by far one of the best! I even got four other family members to become members and we have had so much fun going to Boo Zoo and of course we can't wait for Zoo lights which is so fun.

Let me start with the positive, the dinosaur exhibit was great, lots of life size replicas. But, it does not flow well as you move through exhibit , confusing directions. Also my son liked the touch pool at the end of the extreme animals but I can barely understand how they can consider a bunch of stingrays, mantarays, star fish, urchins extreme animals. Now for the negative, we chose 2 of the special exhibits and oh what a disappointment the "Extreme animals alive" and "Death by Natural Causes" Both lackluster, for the $30+ price we basically walked through reading posters, little to no interactive anything. A few live insects. The gift shops and food offerings were nice with lots of stuff to purchase but oh my goodness the prices were ridiculous I understand prices have gone up but $6 for a bottled drink, $13 for onion rings, $13 for a little keychain. It was a Saturday so parking was a nightmare ended up in a parking garage about 4 blocks up the road at a cost of $20+ for the little over 2 hour adventure. So for my son and I this little "educational experience" cost around $150 we opted to just have a drink and have a sit down dinner at a nice restaurant later.

Loved it. Great experience. We went in mid November and the weather was still warm but tolerable to walk around. It was very clean, the staff was nice, and the animals lived in clean cages. The food was good.
