The so was great! Clean and everything except for the rhinos and a couple of smaller ones was open. The only bad part was the mythical realm exhibit. The lady at the entrance taking our tickets and giving the bracelet was rude about my daughter's boyfriend wanting the purple bracelet.???? It was the weirdest thing that she was put out about that. She was huffing and mumbling while she searched for the bigger size. Gave it to him and kept shaking her head. Why she just didn't say she only had that color in a small size i will never know. When it was our turn she took the purple away and gave us like 2 options which whatever not a big deal it was just weird because the family ahead of us got to choose from all. We paid extra for this and it just made it a crappy start. Whoever was working the mythical realm morning of 3/19/26 around 11:30am do better cause that is the dumbest thing to be snippy about.

Had a great time with our group of 10! Had our infant with us and there were lots of shady, quiet benches to feed and changing tables in both men and women's restrooms. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich at cypress circle café was delicious. Definitely recommend getting the side of homemade ranch to cool it down a bit!

A lot of places were under construction and a lot of the animals were not even out I all did enjoy the food and walking around seeing what I could but the whole point is for us to see animals and we barley got to see any due to them not being outside and that this the whole point of the zoo very very unfortunate and I payed 50 dollars

Second time being here, just to give a second chance. Our first time really sucked. We had just got in right before 3 pm and they were closing by 4 pm. We had checked and saw they were closing at a later time. We bought tickets for the carousel! Since we had to leave, we complained and tickets to come back at a later day, "any time in 6 months" we went on December but the tickets will expire in April, sooo where exactly are the 6 months? We enede up going during the Spring Break weekend. The Carousel was not working and it seemed it has been like that for a big time (months). Which means we ended up loosing the carousel tickets. I am not sure if it is Houston, but some employees had such an attitude like they don't wanna be there. We had eaten before going into the zoo, otherwise expect high prices for food!
