(Translated by Google) The best zoo in Houston. The restaurant is quiet, expensive, and fast. The service is helpful. I ordered fries with chicken; I recommend the ice cream. Very nice place to visit. I wish they would have posted the areas that were closed so we could have picked a different weekend to visit. I wanted to see the penguins and it was closed. Also - the ticket prices vary drastically depending on who you are and the Ferris wheel ride was short and expensive and an extra charge from admissions.

The things they did have were cool, staff was informative & some were nice. We went for our daughter’s birthday & one of the main things she wanted to do was the petting zoo, but when we tried to go in, the worker said because there were school field trips that day & “too many kids” they couldn’t open it… I feel like you should have better protocols for this, maybe only letting a certain amount of people in at a time, etc. It was disappointing because that’s the main thing she wanted to do & nothing was on the website prior to going to let us know this wouldn’t be an option. Also, penguins were completely gone and having their habitat cleaned, also not communicated on the website or the info whenever we bought the tickets. Rented a wagon for $17 for it to have awful wheels & straps that don’t work. Kind of ridiculous & the workers there were not very nice. They also didn’t have any “birthday buttons” that the photographer told us to grab because we told him it was our daughter’s birthday, turns out it only gets you a pass to go on the carousel once which doesn’t include a parent either, so you’d still have to pay. Photo was super good quality & the people at the Photo Booth (or where ever you buy them) were super friendly!
